The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morgan with a lazy takedown attempt and Barry counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Morgan drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Barry is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Morgan's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Barry makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Barry. Morgan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barry. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Barry is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Morgan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Morgan wants to control but Barry is keeping busy and won't allow it. Morgan misses with some strikes from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morgan tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Barry has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Morgan tries to hold on but Barry pushes him away. Barry postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Morgan looks a forlorn figure.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barry unloading with bombs! Morgan wants to try and get back to his feet. Morgan tries to control Barry's body but Barry pushes him off. Morgan squirms to his side and now Barry has his back! Barry is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Morgan with him. Morgan is trying to defend but Barry has an arm under the chin now! Morgan grimaces and is forced to tap out!
