Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nero Fire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hideki Masada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Masada has chosen "Tokyo Drift (Restage Remix)" by Teriyaki Boyz as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nero Fire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hideki Masada!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masada showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Fire.
Fire looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Fire tries to bum rush Masada with a series of wild strikes but Masada uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Fire gets tackled into the cage by Masada. Masada maintains the clinch.
Fire is looking to break free of the clinch but Masada has double underhooks.

Masada breaks the clinch.
Masada tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Fire throws a right hand that Masada ducks under and follows up with a left that Masada also avoids with ease.
Fire rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Masada moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Nero Fire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Masada has taken the fight to the clinch.

Masada breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

It looks like Nero Fire has been cut.
Fire throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Masada darts in looking for a takedown but Fire gets double underhooks and turns Masada into the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fire got a little sloppy there for a moment and Masada has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fire has managed to get both his arms back between Masada's legs - danger averted.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Masada postures up in Fire's guard and throws a big left but Fire blocks it.
Masada slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Fire fails to land with a series of punches.

Masada looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fire is fending him off so far but Masada persists. Nope, Fire circles away and we're back to standing.

Masada dives in and grabs Fire's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fire pushes down on Masada's head and hops out.

That's time! Fire's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Fire throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Masada tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fire swivels and escapes.
Fire looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Masada moves into range and clinches up with Fire.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Masada is on top in guard.
Fire avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Masada throwing strikes but missing.
Fire wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Masada manages to pass to side control.
Fire pushes Masada off but Masada dives into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Masada is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Fire will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Fire bucks up and tries to throw Masada off but instead Masada has got his back!
Fire is trying to get back to his feet but Masada has full control of the position and if anything, Fire has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Well Masada has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
