Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kobe Romeo Paris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kato Kiyomasa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kobe Romeo Paris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kato Kiyomasa! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paris staying out of range there. Kiyomasa lands a nice looking body shot.
Kiyomasa throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
An inside leg kick lands from Paris. Kiyomasa scores with a nice right hand.
Kiyomasa with a nice cross. Kiyomasa throws a right hand that Paris ducks under and follows up with a left that Paris also avoids with ease. Paris drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Paris is pushing down on Kiyomasa's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kiyomasa is fighting to maintain full guard but Paris has managed to sneak the leg through. Paris prevents Kiyomasa from improving his position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Paris throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Kiyomasa is pressing down on Paris's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Kiyomasa avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kiyomasa manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Paris manages to get himself to full guard.
Paris throws some shots to the body, keeping his opponent honest.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paris is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kiyomasa trying to control the position from guard on top but Paris is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Paris has his foot on Kiyomasa's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kiyomasa works his way back into a safe position though. Kiyomasa passes Paris's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Kiyomasa wants to pass to mount but Paris is defending the position. Kiyomasa is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Paris is just riding it out for now. Kiyomasa eventually gives up the hold. Paris throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Paris flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Paris gets full guard. Paris throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Kiyomasa pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Paris is keeping the position for now. Paris working a defensive guard here.
Paris has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Kiyomasa should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Paris has tightened it up now! Kiyomasa should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Kobe Romeo Paris! Kobe Romeo Paris bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
