Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Grigori Draugovich Ii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kato Aspenia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Grigori Draugovich Ii! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kato Aspenia! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Draugovich Ii moves away from the strike by Aspenia. Draugovich Ii gets a double leg takedown into Aspenia's guard. Draugovich Ii throws a strike but Aspenia rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Aspenia really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Draugovich Ii. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Draugovich Ii looking to hit a scissor sweep but Aspenia is one step ahead there. Aspenia is looking to work some ground and pound but Draugovich Ii has wrist control. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Aspenia accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Aspenia throwing strikes from guard but Draugovich Ii blocks nicely. Aspenia won't allow Draugovich Ii to sweep him here. Aspenia trying to stand up but can't free himself from Draugovich Ii's guard. Draugovich Ii pulls Aspenia in close to his closed guard and prevents Aspenia from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aspenia wants to stand and escape but instead Draugovich Ii has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Draugovich Ii pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Aspenia is keeping the position for now. Draugovich Ii is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Aspenia has Draugovich Ii pulled in close to control his posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Draugovich Ii slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Draugovich Ii throws a low kick but Aspenia moves out of range easily. A punch combination from Aspenia misses. Aspenia tries to clinch up but Draugovich Ii circles away and keeps his distance. Aspenia on the wrong end of a nice hook. Aspenia shoots for a double leg takedown but Draugovich Ii sprawls well. He's pushed Aspenia's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. No luck for Draugovich Ii with that takedown attempt. Aspenia misses with a series of wild punches.

Draugovich Ii gets caught napping as Aspenia dives in and scores a takedown. Draugovich Ii manages to retain guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Draugovich Ii wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aspenia wants to get up but he can't break Draugovich Ii's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Draugovich Ii throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Aspenia wants to stand and escape but instead Draugovich Ii has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Draugovich Ii throws a big elbow that misses. Draugovich Ii stands up over Aspenia, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Aspenia throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Draugovich Ii in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Aspenia working a defensive guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Draugovich Ii prevents Aspenia from getting back to his feet. Aspenia looking to control.
Draugovich Ii stands up over Aspenia, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Aspenia keeping moving, preventing Draugovich Ii from controlling successfully. Draugovich Ii throws a big elbow that misses. Draugovich Ii in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Aspenia wants to sweep but no luck. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Aspenia pushes Draugovich Ii off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Draugovich Ii misses with a body shot.
Aspenia will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Grigori Draugovich Ii will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Draugovich Ii moves into range and connects with a jab. Draugovich Ii with a lazy takedown attempt and Aspenia connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Aspenia tries to close the distance and clinch but Draugovich Ii swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Aspenia tries to clinch there but Draugovich Ii circles away.
Aspenia wants to clinch. Draugovich Ii lands with an overhand left. Aspenia takes a shot right to the bread basket. Draugovich Ii closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Aspenia quickly recovers to half guard. Draugovich Ii not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Draugovich Ii seems to be working for a kimura but Aspenia defends the submission attempt. Draugovich Ii is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Draugovich Ii throwing shots but Aspenia is blocking nicely. Aspenia is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Draugovich Ii trying to control the action but Aspenia is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Aspenia keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Aspenia avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Draugovich Ii. Draugovich Ii seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Aspenia moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Draugovich Ii trying to control the position from guard on top but Aspenia is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Draugovich Ii wants to pass the guard but Aspenia is keeping the position. Aspenia tries to land a sweep but no joy. Draugovich Ii seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Draugovich Ii throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Draugovich Ii looking to pass the guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Aspenia fails with the takedown and Draugovich Ii counters with a lovely straight right hand! Draugovich Ii lands a nice hook to Aspenia's body. Aspenia takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Kato Aspenia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Draugovich Ii scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Draugovich Ii slows the pace down. Draugovich Ii wants to lay and pray for a moment but Aspenia keeps working. Grigori Draugovich Ii overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Draugovich Ii throws an elbow but Aspenia slips to the side and avoids it well. Draugovich Ii tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Aspenia is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Draugovich Ii is controlling him well. Draugovich Ii wants to control but Aspenia is keeping him busy. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Draugovich Ii working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Aspenia is trying to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Draugovich Ii drops down looking for an ankle pick but Aspenia pulls his leg out and moves away.

Draugovich Ii keeps control of Aspenia as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Draugovich Ii breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Aspenia shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Draugovich Ii pinned against the cage. Draugovich Ii gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Draugovich Ii fails to land with a series of punches.

Aspenia takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Aspenia is trying to buck Draugovich Ii off. Draugovich Ii trying to control the position but Aspenia is working away. Aspenia taking a bit of punishment here - Draugovich Ii scoring with strikes. Draugovich Ii has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Draugovich Ii has an Americana. Aspenia didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Draugovich Ii is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Draugovich Ii hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
