Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Danny Trejo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Whonjon William (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trejo comes to the cage accompanied by Dire Straits- Six Blade Knife. Whonjon William has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Danny Trejo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Whonjon William!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
William takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Trejo misses with a body shot.
Trejo definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Trejo wants to clinch up but William keeps it at a distance.
William stuns Trejo with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
A leg kick checked by Trejo.
No luck for William with that takedown attempt.
Trejo connects with the punch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
William circles away from the clinch attempt
and William counters with a stiff right hand.
Danny Trejo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
William avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Trejo tries to sprawl but William drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
William is just content to waste time from the top position. Trejo takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
William prevents Trejo from getting back to his feet.
William wants to control from the top but Trejo keeps moving.
William is looking to work some ground and pound but Trejo has wrist control.
William is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
William loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

William not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Trejo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but William circles away quickly and effectively.
William keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
William tries to work over Trejo's front leg with a kick but Trejo checks it.
William dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Trejo clinches with his opponent.
William tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Trejo smiles and moves away.

A big left from Trejo misses.
William misses with a body shot.
William throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Trejo's waist but Trejo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing William off to one side.
Danny Trejo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Whonjon William.
Trejo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. William manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Trejo takes a shot to the body in his stride.

William moves into range and clinches up with Trejo.
William has had enough of the clinch but Trejo keeps him there for the moment.
Trejo looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
The referee is keeping an eye on William - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Trejo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Trejo misses with a head kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
William is struggling to control the position.
William throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
William digs a right hand into Trejo's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Trejo's gas tank.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A nice right hand lands inside from Trejo.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Whonjon William will probably get the nod.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Trejo lands a nice elbow from the clinch.


It looks like Whonjon William has been cut.
William tries to circle away but Trejo has him pinned against the cage.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
William blocks an elbow strike from Trejo.
Trejo is trying to break the clinch but William is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Trejo with a knee to the head.

William escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
William jabs at Trejo's body.
Trejo fails in his attempt to clinch.
William showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Trejo.
William is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Trejo rather than just go for the knockout.

Trejo lands a big head kick that sends William tumbling to the mat! Trejo takes a step backwards and waves William back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Trejo lands a left and a right that send William crashing to the mat, dazed. Trejo thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


William is rocked!
Trejo fails in his attempt to clinch.
William is still on wobbly legs! Can Trejo finish him?
Trejo slips under a jab.
Good work by Trejo as he checks the leg kick.
William seems to have recovered his senses.

Trejo swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and William counters with a right hand to the body.
William swats away the attempt to clinch by Trejo.
Trejo throws a sloppy head kick
and William counters with a lovely straight right hand!
William avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Trejo waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract William.
William shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Trejo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Trejo instigates a clinch.
Trejo lands an elbow just above William 's eye.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
William tries to score a body lock takedown but Trejo shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Trejo lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of William backwards.

Trejo prevents a body shot from William.
Trejo misses with a knee strike.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
William stalling the fight.

William breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
William fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Trejo has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
William tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Trejo swivels and escapes.
Danny Trejo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Whonjon William.
William swats away the attempt to clinch by Trejo.
William keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Trejo throws a perfectly timed hook that sends William crashing down! William tries to stagger back to his feet but Trejo just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused William asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Danny Trejo!
Danny Trejo bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
