Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ethan Shepherd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aivars Klavins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ethan Shepherd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klavins shoots in and bounces Shepherd off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Klavins trying to control the position from guard on top but Shepherd is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Klavins postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Klavins throws an elbow that misses. Shepherd uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Klavins's guard. Nice move by Shepherd!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Klavins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Klavins wants to sweep here but Shepherd controlling him for the moment.
Aivars Klavins has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Shepherd throws a quick inside leg kick.
Shepherd throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Shepherd throws a jab but it's blocked by Klavins.

Klavins misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Klavins looks winded!
Klavins clinches up with Shepherd and pushes him back against the cage.
Shepherd manages to break the clinch.
Klavins looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Shepherd looking for a sweep. Not yet Shepherd, not yet.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Shepherd manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Shepherd breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Klavins has managed to clinch.
Shepherd has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Klavins regains guard immediately.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shepherd is working Klavins over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Shepherd gets to his feet - Klavins follows without any prompting.
Klavins clinches up with Shepherd and pushes him back against the cage.
Shepherd pulls guard successfully.
Shepherd is controlling Klavins's posture.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ethan Shepherd dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Klavins slips a jab and a cross from Shepherd.
Aivars Klavins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Klavins looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Shepherd!
Klavins in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Shepherd struggling a bit here.
Klavins wants to control but Shepherd is keeping him busy.

Shepherd tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Klavins wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Klavins throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Shepherd works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Shepherd is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Klavins's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Klavins's back!
You can see the frustration on Klavins's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shepherd keeps control of the position easily here as Klavins tries to buck him off.
Klavins holding both Shepherd 's hands and preventing any damage.
Klavins is breathing heavily.
Klavins just trying to survive but Shepherd is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Shepherd has good solid back control here.

Klavins can't escape the position.
Shepherd keeps control of the position easily here as Klavins tries to buck him off.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Klavins covers up after that shot from Shepherd.
What can Klavins do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Shepherd has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Klavins is in real trouble here. Shepherd gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Klavins is tapping out! Shepherd wins by rear naked choke!
