Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steve Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Suchart Chaowanungkarn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chaowanungkarn has chosen Muay Thai fight music as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Steve Vega! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
31 - 25 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Suchart Chaowanungkarn! The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vega gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Vega goes for a takedown attempt but Chaowanungkarn pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Vega gets the takedown into side control. Chaowanungkarn has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Chaowanungkarn is trying to get back to half guard. Vega tries to move to mount but Chaowanungkarn blocks the move with his legs. Chaowanungkarn manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Vega is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vega is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Vega works his way into full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Vega goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Chaowanungkarn is on top in guard.
Vega escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Chaowanungkarn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Chaowanungkarn is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Vega looking to hit a scissor sweep but Chaowanungkarn is one step ahead there. Vega is trying to keep Chaowanungkarn in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chaowanungkarn has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Vega to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Chaowanungkarn is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Vega pulls down on the head and he's put Chaowanungkarn to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Steve Vega! An out of breath Steve Vega thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
