15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Hanlon! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Heart lands with a nice combination. Hanlon backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Mark Hanlon has been cut. Hanlon throws a nice looking combination but Heart bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Heart tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hanlon swats away the attempt to clinch by Heart. Hanlon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Heart stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Heart wants it to stay on the feet. Heart doesn't manage to clinch there - Hanlon circles away.
Hanlon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Larry Heart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hanlon keeps the fight on the outside. Heart instigates a clinch. Heart throws a punch but it's blocked by Hanlon. Heart throws a punch but it's blocked by Hanlon. Hanlon blocks an uppercut.
Heart tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. A short right from Heart. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hanlon working hard to break the clinch.

I was talking to Heart's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Hanlon holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Hanlon is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Heart misses with a hook from the clinch. Heart keeps control of Hanlon as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Heart working aggressively here.

Heart swings wildly with an uppercut but Hanlon uses good head movement to avoid it. Hanlon stalling in the clinch but Heart improves position. Heart scores with a shot to the side of Hanlon's head. Hanlon wants to get back to striking at distance but Heart won't allow it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A short right from Heart. A quick uppercut on the inside from Heart. Heart lands with a short head shot on the inside. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Larry Heart dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mark Hanlon's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Heart fails in his attempt to clinch. Heart fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hanlon has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Hanlon looks to land a right hand but Heart moved out of range. Heart buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Hanlon swats away the attempt to clinch by Heart. Hanlon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Heart wants to clinch. Heart tries to bum rush Hanlon with a series of wild strikes but Hanlon uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Hanlon throws a right hand that Heart ducks under and follows up with a left that Heart also avoids with ease. Heart tries to clinch there but Hanlon circles away.
Heart works over Hanlon's head and body with a nice combination. Heart wants to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sloppy strikes from Heart. Those never looked like landing. Heart fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hanlon throws a head kick but Heart moves out of range.

The cut above Mark Hanlon's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Hanlon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Heart throws a quick inside leg kick. Heart tries to clinch but Hanlon moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Heart drives through with a takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This has been an exciting period of action! Heart throws a big right hand that misses. Heart chips away with some ground and pound. Hanlon had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Heart defends it easily. Heart wants to control from the top but Hanlon keeps moving. Hanlon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Heart doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Heart manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Heart throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hanlon works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Heart postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Heart with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Heart throwing strikes from guard but Hanlon blocks nicely. Heart landing with the ground and pound.
Mark Hanlon's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mark Hanlon's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
