Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeffrey Eaton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daniel Hansen! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hansen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Hansen remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hansen advances nicely into full mount. Hansen working for a guillotine from mount but Eaton is in no mood to give up. Hansen looking to control and managing it successfully. Hansen is looking to work his way around to Eaton's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hansen tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Eaton working to try and regain half guard.
Hansen controlling the pace for now. Eaton tries to lock up and control but Hansen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hansen moves into range and clinches up with Eaton. Eaton is trying to push Hansen away but Hansen has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Eaton is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hansen has hold of one of Eaton's legs. Eaton is fighting the takedown attempt but Hansen gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Hansen sitting in guard, not really doing much. Hansen forces his way into half guard. Hansen controlling the action here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Eaton trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Hansen manages to pass to mount!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Eaton tries to hold on but Hansen postures up. Eaton is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Hansen locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Eaton is forced to tap!
