Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between DeMarcus Njokuani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Smiles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Smiles's choice of entrance music: Iron Maiden- Ghostface Killah. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Alex Smiles enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Njokuani throws a head kick but Smiles moves out of range.
Njokuani looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Njokuani fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Smiles, pushing him back against the cage.
Njokuani lands an elbow inside.
Njokuani lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Smiles or not.
Njokuani tries to land a knee to the head but Smiles blocks with his arms.
Njokuani doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Smiles prevents a body shot from Njokuani.
Njokuani tries to throw a body punch but Smiles avoids it by throwing Njokuani back against the cage.
Njokuani with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Smiles blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Smiles fails to pull guard.
Njokuani tries to work over Smiles's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Smiles jumps guard but Njokuani stands there with Smiles around his waist. Smiles gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

DeMarcus Njokuani has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Smiles.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Njokuani.

Njokuani pushes off an throws an elbow but Smiles leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Njokuani throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Smiles blocks it with crossed arms.
Smiles jumps guard but Njokuani turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Smiles tries to break free but Njokuani pushes him back against the cage.
Smiles looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Smiles breaks the clinch.
Njokuani tries to move into range but Smiles moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Njokuani throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Smiles's head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Smiles lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Njokuani at a distance.

Oh Njokuani is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Smiles cracks Njokuani with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Njokuani falls to his knees and Smiles doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

In his post fight interview, Alex Smiles started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
