Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Trent Wilkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dameus Parks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Trent Wilkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dameus Parks!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parks drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wilkins looking to control.
Parks controls from within his opponent's guard.
Parks wants to stand but Wilkins is controlling his posture from full guard.
Parks trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Parks trying to control the position from guard on top but Wilkins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dameus Parks hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Parks drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Parks in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Parks is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Wilkins can't keep his opponent in guard - Parks advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Parks wants to control but Wilkins is keeping him busy.
Wilkins tries to get to full guard but Parks has control of the leg.
Parks working over Wilkins with some ground and pound. Wilkins looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Parks is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Parks wants to take a breather but Wilkins is having none of it.

Well, if Parks is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dameus Parks hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Parks fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wilkins sprawls well initially but Parks persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Wilkins moves into full guard.

Parks pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wilkins is keeping the position for now.
Parks cracks Wilkins with a solid left hand.
Parks trying to move into half guard but instead Wilkins has managed to sweep!
Wilkins postures up and lands a big shot to Parks's brow.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Parks controls Wilkins momentarily but Wilkins frees himself.
Wilkins loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dameus Parks dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Parks scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Wilkins regains half guard, as Parks was trying to land strikes.

Wilkins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Parks wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wilkins keeps working.
Parks wants to pass the guard but Wilkins is defending well.

Parks seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Dameus Parks.

Parks drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wilkins is trying to keep Parks in close.
Parks is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Parks moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Wilkins tries for a takedown but Parks circles away easily

and Parks holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Parks stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Parks's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Parks bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Dameus Parks has got the better of the ground game so far.

Wilkins manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Parks trying to control but Wilkins postures up.
Parks tries to kick Wilkins off but Wilkins keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Parks keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Parks tries to get to full guard but Wilkins has control of the leg.

Wilkins seems to be working for a kimura but Parks defends the submission attempt.
Parks is trying to control but can't.

Parks trying to control from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wilkins not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Parks is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wilkins's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wilkins's back!
Parks controlling well, preventing Wilkins from escaping the position.

Parks looking for the RNC.
Parks is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Wilkins up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Parks connects with a big shot to the side of Wilkins's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dameus Parks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Wilkins shoots in for a takedown but Parks shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Parks shoots in but no luck this time.

Parks clinches up against the cage.
Wilkins wants to stall.
Parks can't get the takedown.
Parks pushes Wilkins back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Parks drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Trent Wilkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dameus Parks.
Wilkins is struggling to control the position.

Good anti-grappling being displayed by Parks as Wilkins tries to tie him up.
Parks is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Parks prevents Wilkins from breaking the clinch.
Parks just leaning against Wilkins, taking a breather.
Wilkins is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Parks is keeping busy.

Parks gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Parks trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Wilkins takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Wilkins is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Parks controlling the pace for now.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dameus Parks comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Parks has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
