Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Logan French (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Goddard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Goddard! The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! French moves into range and clinches up with Goddard. Goddard is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Goddard connects with a knee to the head.
Goddard prevents a takedown attempt there.
A frustrated look appears on French's face as he tries to break the clinch. French has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Goddard after a bit of a struggle. Goddard lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

French tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Goddard just stands there and leans against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. French takes a knee to the side of the body. Goddard landing knees to the head.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Goddard tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and French avoids it. French wants to stall.

French has Goddard pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Goddard manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. A battle for position here, against the cage. French jumps guard but Goddard turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. French has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. French jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Goddard walks away with a smile on his face. French gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. French fails with a takedown attempt.

French moves into the clinch. French blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Goddard has a couple of punches blocked by French.

French tries to stall but Goddard uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

French is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Goddard is keeping busy. French is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Goddard to keep the fight standing. Goddard is trying to maintain a safe position but French gets an underhook and turns Goddard into the cage. Goddard using the Thai plumb to throw knees but French has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. French working hard to break the clinch. French is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Goddard is defending well. Goddard with an attempt at a knee that misses.
French tries to pull guard but Goddard holds him up against the cage and eventually French drops back down to his feet.
A frustrated look appears on French's face as he tries to break the clinch. French drops down looking for an ankle pick but Goddard pulls his leg out and moves away.
French feints and as Goddard raises his hands in defense, French changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! French slips nicely into half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! French lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Goddard dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
French looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. French has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Goddard defend it? French steps over the head and cranks it - Goddard is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for French!
