Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Glenn Stroud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yo Hwan Lim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stroud kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Septic Flesh - Pyramid God. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lim displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Lim on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Lim keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Lim on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Lim lands a left and a right that send Stroud crashing to the mat, dazed. Lim thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Stroud is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Donk. Stroud catches Lim right on the button with a cross.
Oh Stroud is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stroud looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Stroud seems to have got his legs back now.
Stroud wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Stroud avoids the head kick by Lim.

Stroud closes the distance and clinches.
Lim fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Lim's coach down at The Shield was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Lim's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Stroud blocks an uppercut.
Stroud tries to throw a body punch but Lim avoids it by throwing Stroud back against the cage.
Stroud wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Glenn Stroud. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stroud is trying to pull guard but Lim has him pressed against the cage.

A head punch blocked on the inside by Stroud.
Stroud lands a body punch.
Lim tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Lim misses with a hook to the ribs.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Stroud as Lim tries to tie him up.
A head punch on the inside from Lim fails to land.
Lim gets through Stroud's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Lim has a couple of punches blocked by Stroud.
Lim lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Stroud backwards.
Lim tries to pull guard but Stroud forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Lim has a couple of punches blocked by Stroud.
Stroud pushes Lim back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Stroud lands an elbow inside.

It looks like Yo Hwan Lim has been cut.

Stroud breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stroud ducks under a wild hook from Lim.
Stroud throws a nice inside leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lim connects with a crisp jab.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lim darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Stroud tries to clinch up but Lim circles away and keeps his distance.
Lim misses the body punch
and Stroud counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Stroud checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Lim steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Stroud.
Lim moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Lim throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Stroud counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Lim throws a head kick that misses.

Glenn Stroud really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Tokyo United Fightwear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
