Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ferdinand Dunlap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santo Vaccaro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santo Vaccaro has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Ferdinand Dunlap!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Santo Vaccaro!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dunlap gets caught napping as Vaccaro dives in and scores a takedown. Dunlap manages to retain guard.
Vaccaro pushes down on Dunlap's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Vaccaro is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dunlap defends it well.
Vaccaro works his way into side control.
Vaccaro looks up at the clock and then as Dunlap takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Vaccaro smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!


It looks like Ferdinand Dunlap has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vaccaro in side control lands a decent elbow.
Vaccaro has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Vaccaro decides to stand up, so the ref orders Dunlap to his feet.

Vaccaro shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dunlap napping and manages to drive through into side control!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Dunlap takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Vaccaro is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dunlap knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Dunlap trying to remain calm as Vaccaro controls from the top position.
Dunlap is pushing Vaccaro's head away, looking to escape. Vaccaro manages to hold on to the position though.
Dunlap is breathing heavily.
Vaccaro controls the position.

Vaccaro is trying to get an arm triangle but Dunlap is defending well.
Vaccaro slows the pace down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Santo Vaccaro hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Vaccaro looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vaccaro wants to get up but he can't break Dunlap's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Dunlap might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Vaccaro is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Vaccaro chips away with some ground and pound.
Dunlap really is a fat lump.

Vaccaro content to stall in guard here.

Vaccaro works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Dunlap is trying to stand.
Vaccaro controlling the action here.
Vaccaro wants to get back to his feet.

Vaccaro is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dunlap is just riding it out for now. Vaccaro eventually gives up the hold.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Ferdinand Dunlap's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Vaccaro shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Jeez, Ferdinand Dunlap's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ferdinand Dunlap's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
