Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josh Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Shuttlesworth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hayes comes to the cage accompanied by Simple Man. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayes lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Shuttlesworth throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hayes slips a jab from Shuttlesworth.

and Shuttlesworth counters with a left and a right that stings Hayes.
Hayes tests Shuttlesworth's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like Jesus Shuttlesworth has been cut.

Hayes lands a big head kick that sends Shuttlesworth tumbling to the mat! Hayes takes a step backwards and waves Shuttlesworth back to his feet - he wants the finish!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Shuttlesworth enables Hayes to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Shuttlesworth manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Shuttlesworth is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hayes accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
