Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rubin Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carolus Rex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Hurricane. Rubin Carter has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rubin Carter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carolus Rex! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Carter uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rex. Rubin Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carter fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rex has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Carter looks to land a left hand but Rex moved out of range nicely. Rex decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Rex missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Rex trying to control from Carter's half guard. Carter has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Carter keeping moving, preventing Rex from controlling successfully. Rex tries to free his leg and advance position but Carter is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carter looking for a sweep. Not yet Carter, not yet. Carter keeping moving, preventing Rex from controlling successfully. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rex wants to pass the guard but Carter is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rex trying to control the position from guard on top but Carter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rex would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Carolus Rex was stalling too much, according to the referee. A telegraphed right hand from Carter misses the target. Carter fails in his attempt to clinch. Carter connects with a good right hand that stumbles Rex. Rex circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Carter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rex.
Carter throws a jab but it's blocked by Rex.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter stuffs the takedown attempt from Rex. Rex gets slowly back to his feet. Rex connects with a looping right hand.
Carter lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Rex misses with a two punch combination.
Rex shoots in for a takedown but Carter shows good takedown defense. Carter lands with a hook. Rex tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
It looks like Carolus Rex has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Carter lands with a hook. Rex tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Rex is rocked! Rex defending well as Carter loads up on a big left hand. Rex is still on wobbly legs! Can Carter finish him? Carter throws a hook but Rex avoids it easily. Carter drives through and clinches with Rex against the cage.
Carter creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Rex with a big uppercut! Rex tries to clinch up but Carter pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Rex to the mat! Rex covers up and Carter unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Rubin Carter! After winning the bout, Rubin Carter thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
