Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Suez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Nunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diego Nunes struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rafael Suez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diego Nunes! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suez manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Nunes on his heels. He'll look to pass Nunes's guard now, I'm sure. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Nunes working a defensive guard here.
Suez avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Suez throws a big elbow that misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Suez advances to half guard. Nunes moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Suez is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Nunes is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Suez trying to control but Nunes is working from the bottom. Nunes looking to hit a scissor sweep but Suez is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Suez scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Suez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Suez's corner is telling him to maintain position. Suez slips nicely into half guard. Suez is taking a breather. Nunes says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Nunes is defending against the submission attempts here by Suez.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Suez in particular looking to stall. Nunes tries to kick Suez off but Suez keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Suez keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Nunes actively working from the bottom here. Nunes is looking to escape. Suez controlling the action here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Rafael Suez wasn't doing enough on the ground. Suez fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Suez throws a leg kick and Nunes counters with a low kick, right behind Suez 's knee. Suez misses with a low kick. Suez thumps Nunes with a low kick. A head kick from Nunes lands but Suez takes it in his stride. Suez takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Suez shoots in for a takedown but Nunes shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Suez throws a low kick but Nunes moves out of range easily. Nunes takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Suez checks a leg kick. A big right from Suez misses. Suez cracks Nunes with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Nunes throws a lazy right hand but Suez sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Suez scores with a shot to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Suez closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Nunes's guard. Nunes is looking to stand up but Suez isn't so interested in that idea. Nunes looking for a guillotine here but Suez defends easily.
Suez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Suez is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Suez trying to control the position from guard on top but Nunes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Suez content to stall in guard here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rafael Suez dominated that round. That's time! Suez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Suez throws a series of punches but Nunes moves out of range. Nunes tries for a takedown but Suez sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Rafael Suez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Suez scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Suez throws a right and a left that both miss. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Nunes checks a leg kick. Suez lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Suez forces Nunes back against the cage and clinches. Suez lands a takedown into guard.
Suez wants to control from the top but Nunes keeps moving. Suez throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Suez trying to control the position from guard on top but Nunes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nunes is looking to stand back up but Suez counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Nunes. Suez wants to work for an arm triangle but Nunes is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Nunes manages to escape and get back to his feet! Suez tries a head kick but it misses.
Diego Nunes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Suez fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nunes looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Suez lands with a nice body punch. Suez avoids the head kick by Nunes.
Suez feints and then cracks Nunes's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Nunes down. Nunes throws a series of punches but Suez moves out of range. Suez moves out of range of the body kick from Nunes.
Suez misses with a low kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Suez throws a head kick but Nunes moves out of range.
Suez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Suez looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Suez gets a takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nunes taking some punishment here, with Suez in his half guard. Nunes pushes Suez off looking to stand but Suez dives back in and keeps control.
Suez is taking a breather. Nunes says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Suez is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Nunes has managed to free his arm - good work. Rafael Suez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Suez trying to control from half guard but Nunes is working away. Nunes looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Suez pushes past his half guard into mount! Suez avoids the attempt from Nunes to control. Suez putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Suez controlling the position easily from mount. Suez lands a big elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Suez won't let Nunes get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Nunes is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Suez locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Nunes is forced to tap!
