PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Haigh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Butcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Bobby Butcher was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Haigh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Butcher!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haigh misses the body punch
and Haigh takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Haigh looks to land a left hand but Butcher moved out of range nicely.

We've been hearing reports that Haigh has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Butcher is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Haigh is controlling him.

Butcher feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Haighs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Butcher might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

and Butcher comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Haigh stumbles back against the cage, looking to regain his senses but Butcher is on him like rabid pit bull! Haigh slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bobby Butcher!
A relieved looking Bobby Butcher thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
John Haigh was interviewed post fight and said 'Vittu saatana!!'.
