Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Archie Burks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kristaps Reinfelds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Archie Burks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kristaps Reinfelds!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burks throws a body kick that misses

and Reinfelds holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Reinfelds tries to work over Burks's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Burks jumps into guard, dragging Reinfelds to the mat.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Burks wants to get back to his feet but Reinfelds is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Burks looking to control.
Reinfelds passes Burks's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Burks is looking to escape.

Reinfelds escapes and gets back to his feet.

Reinfelds closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Reinfelds goes for a takedown attempt but Burks pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Nice uppercut lands for Reinfelds. That snapped Burks's head back.

Reinfelds darts in looking for a takedown but Burks gets double underhooks and turns Reinfelds into the cage.
Reinfelds is working for takedown but Burks is calmly controlling the position for now.

Burks manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Burks wants to stand and escape but Reinfelds is having none of it.

Reinfelds is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Burks sees it coming and defends easily.
Burks has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Reinfelds is working away from the top position though.

Burks moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Burks scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Reinfelds fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

A bone on bone clash there as Reinfelds blocks the leg kick.
Reinfelds shoots in but Burks avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Burks closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Reinfelds sneaks out the side door and pushes Burks away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
We've been informed that Reinfelds has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Reinfelds throws a low kick but it's checked well by Burks.

Burks shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Reinfelds's guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Reinfelds is bucking up trying to escape but Burks cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Burks lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Burks swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Reinfelds is now in Burks's guard. A big mistake from Burks there, giving up the dominant position!

Reinfelds trying to control the position from guard on top but Burks is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Reinfelds wants to get up but he can't break Burks's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Reinfelds takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Reinfelds fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Reinfelds throws a hook to the side of Burks's head but Burks sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Reinfelds closes the distance and clinches up with Burks, looking for a takedown. Reinfelds pushes Burks against the cage but Burks circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Burks wants to stand but Reinfelds has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Reinfelds preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Burks connects with a couple of short punches.
Burks throwing strikes but missing.
Burks postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Reinfelds keeping moving, preventing Burks from controlling successfully.

Burks got a little sloppy there for a moment and Reinfelds has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Burks has managed to get both his arms back between Reinfelds's legs - danger averted.
