Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam Raines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doe comes to the cage accompanied by Programmed For Battle. The key to victory for Max Doe has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Max Doe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Liam Raines!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Francis DeMontford and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raines drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Raines has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Liam Raines seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Doe changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Raines tries to avoid it but Doe manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Raines to the ground. Raines escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Doe moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
A left lands for Raines.
Raines clobbers Doe with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.


It looks like Max Doe has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Doe tries to bum rush Raines with a series of wild strikes but Raines uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Doe scores with a crisp jab that stopped Raines in his tracks.

Doe gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Raines to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Doe definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Raines is looking to stand up but Doe won't let him.

Raines avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Doe might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Doe working for a triangle but Raines defends it easily.

Doe is working an open guard so Raines takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Doe throws a shot from downtown. Raines moves away and avoids it.
Raines tries to move into range but Doe moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Doe ducks under a wild hook from Raines.

Raines tries to sprawl but Doe drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Raines really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Doe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Raines is not content to let Doe control the position.

Doe is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Raines is looking to reverse the position.

The referee is keeping an eye on Raines - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Liam Raines showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
