Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Escobar De Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiruku Matah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Matah's choice of entrance music: Walker the Texas Ranger Theme. Escobar De Vega has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Escobar De Vega! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hiruku Matah! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Vega looks to land a left hand but Matah moved out of range nicely. Matah with a poor takedown and De Vega moves into the clinch. De Vega can't find room to land a body shot as Matah controls the action.
De Vega misses with a body punch.
De Vega tries to throw a body punch but Matah avoids it by throwing De Vega back against the cage. A short right from De Vega. Matah is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables De Vega to keep the fight standing. Matah has clasped his hands together around De Vega's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. De Vega gets back to half guard. De Vega won't allow Matah to pass to mount. De Vega is staying active underneath Matah, who seems content to just control the action from this position. De Vega trying to control from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Matah is working for a submission of some sort.
Matah prevents De Vega from improving his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matah is looking to advance position but De Vega won't allow it. Matah missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Matah prevents De Vega from improving his position. Matah tries to pass the half guard into mount. De Vega knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Matah seems to be working for a kimura but De Vega defends the submission attempt. De Vega tries to roll over but Matah keeps him under control. Matah trying to pass the guard but De Vega defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. De Vega wants to control but Matah is keeping busy.
Matah is looking for a kimura but De Vega is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Matah to get the leverage. Matah is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. De Vega is pressing down on Matah's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. De Vega keeping moving, preventing Matah from controlling successfully. De Vega working for a triangle but Matah defends it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. De Vega wants to sweep but no luck. Matah throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Matah postures up.
Matah lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Matah is pushing down on De Vega's leg trying to pass to half guard. De Vega is fighting to maintain full guard but Matah has managed to sneak the leg through. Matah tries to pass to full mount but De Vega defends it. De Vega wants to improve his position but Matah is controlling well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. De Vega trying to control but Matah postures up.
Matah is looking to take a break and control but De Vega is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. De Vega moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Matah forces his way into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hiruku Matah dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Matah tries for a takedown but De Vega sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Matah tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but De Vega defends well and Matah ends up having to push De Vega into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. De Vega just leaning against Matah, taking a breather. Matah fails to pull guard.
Escobar De Vega has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hiruku Matah. De Vega scores with an uppercut up the middle. Matah is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but De Vega is defending well. A short left from De Vega. De Vega scores with a shoulder strike. De Vega lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. De Vega misses with some punches.
Matah is trying to work for a single leg takedown but De Vega pulls him back up using the underhooks. De Vega makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Matah blocking some punches.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. De Vega lands a nice uppercut. De Vega lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Matah tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. De Vega just stands there and leans against the cage. De Vega is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. De Vega lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. De Vega is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Matah drops to a knee looking for a takedown but De Vega gets the underhooks and prevents it.
A left hand lands to the body for De Vega.
Matah is breathing heavily. Matah looking for a takedown. De Vega makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Matah tries to score a body lock takedown but De Vega shows good agility there to stay on his feet. De Vega misses with a body punch.
Matah blocks a body shot from De Vega. Matah is trying to pull guard but De Vega has him pressed against the cage. Matah is looking for a takedown up against the cage. De Vega gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. A body shot lands from De Vega.
A short right from De Vega on the inside. With the fighters clinched against the cage, De Vega creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! De Vega breaks the clinch.
Horrible takedown attempt by Matah or perhaps it was just good defense by De Vega, which made it look bad.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Matah on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Matah takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. De Vega lands a lovely overhand right. De Vega looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. De Vega lands with an uppercut that bounces Matah off the cage and back into range. Matah shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. De Vega defends it nicely. De Vega misses with a low kick as Matah jumps back. Matah shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts De Vega as he jumps to the side. Matah takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Matah is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. De Vega finds Matah's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Matah flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. De Vega lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Matah will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Escobar De Vega! Escobar De Vega is the new heavyweight champion! Escobar De Vega decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well. Hiruku Matah spoke after the fight, saying 'Bah!'.
