Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryszard Bekas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Browne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryszard Bekas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Travis Browne!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jonathan Paton and Columbo Gatti.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Browne has his takedown stuffed
and Bekas counters with a stiff right hand.

Bekas bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Bekas lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Browne down.
Bekas grinds an elbow into Browne's temple.
Bekas tries to score with some ground and pound. Browne controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Browne manages to get back to half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bekas is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bekas connects with a nice short shot to Browne's temple.

Browne wants to control but Bekas is keeping busy.

Bekas is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Browne is just riding it out for now. Bekas eventually gives up the hold.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Browne is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Bekas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Browne on the ground.

Bekas slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Browne is looking to stand up but Bekas isn't so interested in that idea.

Travis Browne has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Bekas looks up at the clock and then as Browne takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bekas smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
We've been hearing good reports from Bekas's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Bekas cracks Browne with a big right hand but Browne just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Bekas swings around for an armbar but Browne sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bekas's guard.

Bekas is looking for a triangle here but Browne uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Browne is looking to take a break and control but Bekas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bekas is looking for a sweep.

Bekas shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Browne napping and manages to drive through into side control!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Bekas counters with a three punch combo that has Browne backing up. Browne nods at Bekas to acknowledge the strikes.

Browne lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Bekas escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Browne gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bekas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Browne doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Browne manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bekas throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Browne escapes and throws Bekas's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Browne gets to mount! Bekas was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Bekas wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Browne has good solid back control here.

Browne is cranking Bekas's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Bekas! He's tightened the choke and Bekas is tapping out!
