Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Greg Hewitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kallar pajken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Greg Hewitt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kallar pajken!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
pajken ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hewitt moves away.
No joy there for Hewitt, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
pajken fails to land the takedown.
pajken looks for a takedown but Hewitt sprawls well.
pajken fails with an attempt to clinch.
pajken shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hewitt but Hewitt pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Greg Hewitt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kallar pajken.
The fighters circling - Hewitt throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hewitt stalks pajken and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into pajken's face. pajken staggers backwards, shaken.


It looks like Kallar pajken has been cut.

pajken throws a right and a left that both miss.

pajken tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hewitt throws a right hand that pajken ducks under and follows up with a left that pajken also avoids with ease.
pajken does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
pajken shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hewitt as he jumps to the side.
Kallar pajken seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hewitt pulls out of a head kick attempt.
pajken fails with a takedown attempt.
pajken tries to clinch up but Hewitt circles away and keeps his distance.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
pajken throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
No joy there for Hewitt, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hewitt throws a combination but it was largely blocked by pajken.
Hewitt misses with a two punch combination.
Hewitt scores with a nice body kick.
pajken looks gassed!
pajken fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hewitt lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Hewitt misses with a leg kick.
Hewitt swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hewitt misses with a few strikes there.

Some wild striking there from Hewitt.
Hewitt shoots in for a double leg but pajken sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

pajken avoids the head kick by Hewitt.
pajken is looking to clinch but Hewitt is avoiding it.
Hewitt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around pajken's waist but pajken gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hewitt off to one side.
pajken has his takedown stuffed
and Hewitt counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hewitt is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Hewitt looks to land a combination. pajken sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Hewitt connects with a crisp jab.
pajken rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hewitt moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hewitt lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Nice combo by Hewitt! Oh, that's hurt him - pajken falls to the canvas and Hewitt follows him into side control.


That has opened up Kallar pajken's cut even more.
pajken is trying to improve his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hewitt lands a decent elbow from side control.
pajken is not content to let Hewitt control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

pajken looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hewitt is fending him off so far but pajken persists. Nope, Hewitt circles away and we're back to standing.
Hewitt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around pajken's waist but pajken gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hewitt off to one side.
pajken throws a nice looking combination but Hewitt bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Good work by pajken as he checks the leg kick.
Hewitt misses with a takedown attempt - pajken sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Greg Hewitt. That's going to take a lot out of him.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

pajken tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hewitt paws at him with a jab and circles away.

pajken is trying desperately to land a takedown but Hewitt is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for pajken.
Hewitt tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but pajken swivels and escapes.

Hewitt goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

and Hewitt counters with a series of strikes. pajken will be more careful next time no doubt.


Kallar pajken's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Hewitt misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
pajken swings and misses with a hook to the body.
pajken checks a low kick from Hewitt.
pajken moves in looking to clinch but Hewitt pushes him off.
Hewitt scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

pajken throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hewitt's waist but Hewitt gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing pajken off to one side.
Hewitt shoots in looking for a takedown. pajken tries to sprawl out of it but Hewitt keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. pajken manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

pajken shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
pajken avoids the attempt from Hewitt to control.

Hewitt pushes pajken off and gets back to his feet.

Hewitt drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Hewitt wants to improve his position but pajken is controlling well.
pajken trying to control the action but Hewitt is working from the bottom.
Hewitt is trying to stand up here but pajken is controlling him well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Hewitt walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. pajken checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
pajken shoots for a takedown but Hewitt saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Greg Hewitt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kallar pajken.

and pajken counters with a nice body shot.
pajken swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Well Hewitt has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
