Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamal Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Owens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Owens comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Street Fighting Years by Simple Minds kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jamal Baker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Owens!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baker throws a right and a left that Owens avoids nicely.
Baker lands a lovely overhand right.
No joy there for Baker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Owens is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Owens moves out of range of the strikes.
Baker listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Owens walks straight into a right hand from Baker - that's dropped him! Baker jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Owens from any more punishment! Owens complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jamal Baker!
