Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Major Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Lazarus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jorge Lazarus will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Major Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jorge Lazarus! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lazarus with a lazy takedown attempt and Miller counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lazarus won't be happy with that. Miller has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Miller closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lazarus quickly recovers to half guard. Miller wants to stand but Lazarus has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Miller slows the pace down in half guard. Miller could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Miller wants to stand up but Lazarus is controlling the position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Miller slows the pace down in half guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Major Miller wasn't doing enough on the ground. Miller avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
That's one minute gone in the round. A punch lands to the side of Miller 's head but he takes it in his stride. A nice leg kick lands there from Lazarus. Lazarus tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. The fight moves into the clinch position. Miller turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Lazarus is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Miller in side control, just content to control the action for now. Miller scores with punches from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Miller throwing shots but missing, from side control. Lazarus is trying to control Miller's posture but Miller avoids it. Miller wants to stand but Lazarus is controlling his arm. Miller is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Lazarus will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Lazarus is trying to control Miller's posture but Miller avoids it. Miller is staying tight to Lazarus's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Lazarus clinches up against the cage.

Lazarus is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Miller might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lazarus misses with a takedown attempt and Miller makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Major Miller dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Miller is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Lazarus is breathing heavily. Miller wanted to stand there but Lazarus had control of the position.

Lazarus has his feet on Miller's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Miller misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Major Miller. That's going to take a lot out of him. Miller shoots in for a double leg but Lazarus sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Lazarus shoots for a double leg takedown but Miller sprawls well. He's pushed Lazarus's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Lazarus misses with a head kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lazarus keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Lazarus clinches. Miller pulls guard effortlessly. Miller trying to keep a closed guard but Lazarus is proving a slippery customer.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lazarus manages to get himself to full guard.
Miller decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Lazarus throws a lazy right hand but Miller sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Lazarus just misses with a punch to the body.
Sloppy strikes from Lazarus. Those never looked like landing. Lazarus darts in and clinches Miller up against the cage. Miller slows down the pace here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Miller tries to stall but Lazarus uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Miller has picked Lazarus up - he's going for a ride! Miller dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Lazarus controlling the position well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miller is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lazarus sees it coming and defends easily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Miller is working for a submission of some sort.
Miller is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Major Miller dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Miller shoots in but no luck this time. Jorge Lazarus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lazarus lands a nice looking body shot.

Lazarus is looking to stand up but Miller isn't so interested in that idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Miller controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Miller has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lazarus is proving hard to escape from. Miller is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Miller postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Lazarus has a closed guard, preventing Miller from standing up. Miller trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Miller has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lazarus is proving hard to escape from.
Major Miller has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. A lazy left from Lazarus finds it's target. Lazarus changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Miller tries to avoid it but Lazarus manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Miller to the ground. Miller escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Major Miller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jorge Lazarus. Miller scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Miller slows the pace down in half guard. Miller is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Miller seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lazarus for as long as he can get away with. Miller working the head and body with strikes. Miller stalling. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Lazarus has one foot on Miller's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miller scores with a jab to the jaw. Lazarus displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Miller. Lazarus throws a quick inside leg kick. Lazarus pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lazarus throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Miller sees it coming and avoids it easily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lazarus pulls out of a head kick attempt.

And that's the end of the fight! Major Miller showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Miller, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
