Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mark Hominick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyn Hart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hominick comes to the cage accompanied by Can't be touched. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mark Hominick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lyn Hart!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hominick tries to clinch up.
Hart chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hominick can pounce on him.
Hominick tries to clinch but Hart is having none of it.
Hominick is looking to clinch but Hart is avoiding it.
Hart swats away the attempt to clinch by Hominick.
Hart circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hominick closes the distance and clinches up with Hart, looking for a takedown. Hominick pushes Hart against the cage but Hart circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hominick is looking to clinch.
Hominick fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hominick is looking to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hominick looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Hominick tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hominick is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Hominick gets caught flat footed, as Hart shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Hart working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Hart is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Hart throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hominick works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Hart postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Hart slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Hominick is not content to let Hart control the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hart grinds an elbow into Hominick's temple.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hart tries to advance to mount but Hominick instead regains half guard.

Hart misses with a head shot. Hominick uses the momentum to regain guard.
Hominick manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Hart is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Hominick takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hominick wants to control the pace but Hart is squirming around nicely.
Hart keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hart can do anything to dispel that myth.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hart tries to lock up and control but Hominick gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mark Hominick will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Hart circles away from the clinch attempt.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Hart checks a leg kick.
Hominick tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hart paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hominick looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hominick is looking to clinch but Hart is avoiding it.
No luck for Hart with that takedown attempt.
Hominick scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Hart drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Hart throws a strike but Hominick rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Hominick trying to control but Hart is working from the bottom.

Hart is looking to sweep but instead, Hominick has passed into half guard.
Hart tries to get to full guard but Hominick has control of the leg.
Hart flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Hart is looking to improve his position.
Hart is holding on to half guard well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Hart is looking to improve his position.
Hart is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hominick is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hart shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Hominick counters with an outside leg kick.
Hart is breathing heavily.
Hominick tries a head kick but it misses.
Hominick wants to clinch up but Hart keeps it at a distance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hart circles away from the clinch attempt.

Hart closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hominick to the mat! Hominick manages to get full guard.
Hominick keeping moving, preventing Hart from controlling successfully.
Hominick bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hart's guard.
Hominick passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Hart trying to control here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hart is looking for a sweep. Hominick is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Hominick wants to control but Hart is keeping him busy.
Hart wants to get back to full guard.
Hominick has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Hart works to full guard.
Hart throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hart throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mark Hominick will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Hominick tries to clinch up but Hart circles away and keeps his distance.
Hart avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Hominick misses with a takedown

so Hart counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Hart throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hominick works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hart throws and elbow that misses. Hominick uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hart's guard. Nice move by Hominick!
Hart has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Hart controls Hominick momentarily but Hominick frees himself.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Hart closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hart lands in his opponent's guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hart trying to control but Hominick is working from the bottom.
Hominick trying to strike off his back.
Hominick wants to stand up but Hart is controlling him.
Hart forces his way into half guard.
Hominick regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Hart.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hominick keeping moving, preventing Hart from controlling successfully.
Hart postures up in Hominick's guard and throws a big left but Hominick blocks it.
Hart trying to move into half guard but instead Hominick has managed to sweep!
Hart working a defensive guard but Hominick manages to pass into side control anyway.
Hart is looking for a sweep.
Lyn Hart has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hart throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Hart tries to buck Hominick off but Hominick is having none of it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hominick tries a low kick but Hart avoids it.
Hominick fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hominick tries to clinch up.
Hominick cracks Hart with a good jab.
Mark Hominick is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Hominick tries to clinch but Hart is having none of it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Lyn Hart comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Hominick has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
