Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrey Lapis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Mackintosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lapis comes to the cage accompanied by Once Solemn . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrey Lapis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Mackintosh!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mackintosh shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mackintosh was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Lapis can't do much from the bottom here.
Lapis is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Mackintosh is controlling him well.
We've been hearing good reports from Lapis's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Mackintosh tries for a kimura but Lapis is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mackintosh wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lapis, who protects the arm well.
Mackintosh trying to control the action but Lapis is working from the bottom.
Lapis manages to get back to half guard.
Mackintosh is keen to just control but Lapis is a slippery customer.
Lapis wants to improve his position but Mackintosh is controlling well.
Lapis wants to get back to his feet.

Mackintosh moves nicely into side control.
Mackintosh staying calm.
Mackintosh advances nicely into full mount.
Lapis wants to hold on but Mackintosh pushes him away.
Lapis is trying to escape the mount.
Mackintosh forces the positional change into back control.
Lapis trying to control the action but Mackintosh just sinks the hooks in.
Lapis is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Lapis is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lapis breaks Mackintosh's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lapis postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Mackintosh is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Lapis sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mackintosh's guard.
Lapis tries to stand and escape but Mackintosh is controlling the position.
Mackintosh is trying to control but can't.
Lapis seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Lapis wants to control but Mackintosh is keeping him busy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lapis tries to stand and escape but Mackintosh is controlling the position.
Lapis trying to control the action but Mackintosh is working from the bottom.
Lapis wants to pass to mount but Mackintosh is defending the position.
Lapis wants to stand up but Mackintosh is controlling the position.
Mackintosh is looking to improve his position.
Nice strikes from Lapis there.
Lapis wants to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Mackintosh is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lapis pulls his head out easily.

Lapis is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Lapis tries to stand but can't do so whilst Mackintosh controls his leg.

Mackintosh looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Mackintosh looking for submissions off his back.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lapis wants to stand up but Mackintosh has a hold of him and won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Andrey Lapis will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Mackintosh shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Lapis counters with a two punch combo.
Lapis drops Mackintosh with a straight right hand, right on the button! Lapis follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andrey Lapis!
A relieved looking Andrey Lapis thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
