Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hoke Potts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dom Malendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potts lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Malendez avoids the head kick by Potts.
Malendez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Potts stopping the sweep attempt from Malendez.
Malendez will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Malendez working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Potts.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Malendez holds on and takes a little breather.
Potts stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Malendez swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Potts postures up.
Potts wants to stand and escape but instead Malendez has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Potts not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Malendez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Potts counters by moving into the clinch.
Potts tries for a takedown but Malendez manages to get underhooks.
Potts is trying to break free.
Malendez takes an elbow to the forehead.
Potts blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Malendez ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Malendez no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Malendez controls Potts momentarily but Potts frees himself.
Potts won't allow Malendez to sweep him here.
Malendez throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Malendez is trying to keep Potts in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Malendez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Potts is controlling him.
Malendez keeping full guard, as Potts tries to pass.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Malendez chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Potts can pounce on him.
Malendez looks gassed!
Potts feints and then cracks Malendez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Malendez down.
Malendez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Potts scores a takedown into full mount!
Potts blocks Malendez's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Potts goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Malendez is on top in guard.
Malendez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Potts working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Malendez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Potts is tightening it up a little... Malendez has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Malendez reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Malendez taps out! nice BJJ there by Potts!
