Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Duris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Jurica (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duris comes to the cage accompanied by Noise. Jurica has chosen Immortals - Main Theme as his entrance music. Vladimir Duris has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vladimir Duris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mirko Jurica! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duris cracks Jurica with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
It looks like Mirko Jurica has been cut. Jurica misses with a looping left. Duris fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Jurica is out of range. Duris misses with the combination.
Jurica has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Jurica closes this distance looking for a takedown but Duris circles away. Jurica swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Vladimir Duris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Duris defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jurica. A jab-cross combination lands for Duris and sends Jurica crashing to the mat! Duris follows him down to the mat - Jurica regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Jurica is defending against the submission attempts here by Duris.
Duris is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jurica sees it coming and defends easily. Duris is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jurica has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duris is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jurica defends it well. Duris is working for a submission of some sort.
Jurica actively working from the bottom here. Duris is trying to work for a kimura but Jurica is defending well.
Jurica is refusing to be controlled, as Duris sits in half guard. Jurica is trying to control but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jurica is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Duris pulls his head out easily. Jurica trying to control but Duris postures up.
Duris throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Duris is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Duris is keen to just control but Jurica is a slippery customer. Duris is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Jurica moves into full guard.
Jurica is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Duris defends well. Duris trying to control but Jurica is working from the bottom. Jurica had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Duris defends it easily. Jurica has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Duris can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Jurica looks winded!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Duris accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jurica is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Duris defends well. Duris wants to control from the top but Jurica keeps moving. Jurica is trying to control the position but Duris postures up. Duris controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Duris tries to free his leg and advance position but Jurica is retaining full guard. Duris is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Jurica looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vladimir Duris dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mirko Jurica's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Duris throws a nice looking combination but Jurica bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Duris just misses with a punch to the body.
Jurica shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Duris as he jumps to the side. Duris misses with a few strikes there.
Duris works Jurica's body with a nice hook. Jurica tries to move into range but Duris moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Jurica uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Duris.

Vladimir Duris is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Duris throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Duris closes the distance and lands a one-two.
That has opened up Mirko Jurica's cut even more. Jurica is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jurica uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Duris.
Duris bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Jurica takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Duris is looking to wear down Jurica with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Jurica changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Duris tries to avoid it but Jurica manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Duris to the ground. Duris escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jurica doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Duris swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Duris lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. A jab-cross combination lands for Duris and sends Jurica crashing to the mat! Duris follows him down to the mat - Jurica regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Jurica is rocked!
The cut above Mirko Jurica's eye is starting to cause him problems now. We've been hearing that Duris has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Duris is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jurica sees it coming and defends easily. Jurica is still in real trouble! Can Duris finish him? Duris wants to control but Jurica is keeping him busy. Duris will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Jurica looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Duris is trying to work for a kimura but Jurica is defending well.
Jurica seems to have recovered his senses. Duris working Jurica over with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duris is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Jurica is looking for a sweep. Duris is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Jurica trying to control from the bottom.
Duris uses his free foot to push down on Jurica's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jurica. Duris working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Jurica looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Duris! Submission of the night perhaps?
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Vladimir Duris! Vladimir Duris took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'Getting hit motivates me. It makes me punish the guy more. A fighter takes a punch, hits back with three punches.'.
