Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alonzo Bean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonny Thompson!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Alyssa Summers and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bean throws a head kick that Thompson semi-blocks.


It looks like Jonny Thompson has been cut.

Thompson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Thompson decides to stand back up.
Thompson throws a low kick, looking for Bean's leg but Bean calmly moves out of range.
Thompson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bean paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Some wild striking there from Thompson.
Bean works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bean fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Sloppy strikes from Thompson. Those never looked like landing.
Bean connects with a crisp jab.
Jonny Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thompson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Thompson looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Bean is breathing heavily.
Thompson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A nice combination there by Thompson.


It looks like Alonzo Bean has been cut.
A nice leg kick lands there from Thompson.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Thompson throws a quick inside leg kick.
Bean blocks a head kick by Thompson.

Thompson moves into the clinch.

Thompson breaks the clinch.
Bean takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Thompson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Thompson tries to advance to mount but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bean trying to remain calm as Thompson controls from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Thompson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bean to his feet.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Thompson, as that shot connected.


Bean is rocked!
Thompson feints a jab and as Bean dips his head, Thompson unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Bean right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Bean falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Thompson smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jonny Thompson!
