Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pillu Parasta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jeff Roberts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pillu Parasta! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parasta closes this distance looking for a takedown but Roberts circles away. Parasta lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Parasta tries to score a power double leg takedown but Roberts sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Parasta somewhat. Parasta throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Roberts misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Parasta shoots in and drives through. Roberts sprawls well. Jeff Roberts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pillu Parasta. Roberts slaps away a takedown attempt from Parasta, before circling back to the center of the mat. Parasta tries to land a front kick but Roberts steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Parasta stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Parasta wants it to stay on the feet. Roberts closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Parasta quickly recovers to half guard. Roberts is taking a breather. Parasta says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Parasta really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Roberts. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roberts thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Roberts wants to pass to mount but Parasta is defending the position. Parasta wants to control but Roberts is keeping busy.
Parasta manages to escape and get back to his feet! Roberts misses with a two punch combination.
Parasta closes this distance looking for a takedown but Roberts circles away. Roberts has a takedown stuffed.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roberts fails to land with a series of punches.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Parasta is defended easily by Roberts. Roberts throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Parasta was covering up waiting for the punch and Roberts finishes the takedown easily into guard. Roberts throwing strikes but missing. Roberts controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Roberts lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parasta is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Parasta working for a triangle but Roberts defends it easily.
Roberts stands and steps away. Parasta gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Roberts tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Parasta swivels and escapes. Roberts shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Parasta is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parasta keeps trying to improve his position. Roberts is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Parasta wants to control but Roberts is keeping busy.
Roberts is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Roberts takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Parasta tries to clinch but Roberts is having none of it. Parasta with a poor takedown and Roberts counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Parasta's guard now. Roberts sitting in guard, not really doing much. Roberts is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Parasta trying to keep a closed guard but Roberts is proving a slippery customer.
Parasta tries to land a sweep but no joy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Roberts showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jeff Roberts wasn't doing enough on the ground. Roberts swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Roberts shoots in and bounces Parasta off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Parasta is looking to stand up but Roberts isn't so interested in that idea. Roberts wants to stand but Parasta has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Parasta working a defensive guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roberts pushes down on Parasta's leg and manages to get into half guard. Parasta wants to control but Roberts is keeping busy and won't allow it. Roberts seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Parasta wants to control but Roberts is keeping busy.
Roberts wants to lay and pray for a moment but Parasta keeps working. Roberts moves nicely into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roberts tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Parasta manages to work his way to half guard, despite Roberts's best efforts. Roberts looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Parasta trying to control from the bottom.
Parasta is staying active underneath Roberts, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roberts seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Roberts is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Roberts trying to pass the guard but Parasta defending well. Jeff Roberts overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Roberts wants to take a breather but Parasta is having none of it. Roberts stands up from half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Horrible takedown attempt by Roberts or perhaps it was just good defense by Parasta, which made it look bad. Parasta tries to clinch there but Roberts circles away.

He's got hold of a leg but Parasta swivels and escapes. Parasta fails in his attempt to clinch. Roberts shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Parasta pinned against the cage. Parasta gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeff Roberts. That's going to take a lot out of him. Roberts on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Parasta shoots in for a takedown but Roberts shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Parasta tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Roberts shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Roberts wants to stand and escape but instead Parasta has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Parasta looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Roberts manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Roberts drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roberts tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Parasta just stands there and leans against the cage. Roberts is trying to stall.
Parasta wants to stall.
Roberts tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Parasta smiles and moves away.
Parasta slaps away a takedown attempt from Roberts, before circling back to the center of the mat. Parasta gets in close and instigates a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parasta gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Roberts works his way to full guard. Good work. Roberts avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Roberts pulls Parasta in close to prevent any damage. Roberts working for a triangle but Parasta defends it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Parasta trying to control the position from guard on top but Roberts is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Parasta postures up in Roberts's guard and throws a big left but Roberts blocks it. Roberts wants to stand but Parasta is controlling the position. Roberts working a defensive guard but Parasta passes into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. It looks like Parasta is going to stand back up.
Roberts regains full guard. Nicely done.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jeff Roberts. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Roberts, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
