Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Stan Dalton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bogart BenevideZ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bogart BenevideZ is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Stan Dalton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bogart BenevideZ! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dalton is looking to clinch. Dalton looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? BenevideZ is fending him off so far but Dalton persists. Nope, BenevideZ circles away and we're back to standing. BenevideZ looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Dalton tries to get to full guard but BenevideZ has control of the leg. BenevideZ is figuring out what he wants to do next. Dalton wants to get back to full guard. BenevideZ content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Bogart BenevideZ hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Dalton is looking to take this fight into the clinch. BenevideZ closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Dalton's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. BenevideZ content to stall in guard here. Dalton is looking for a triangle but BenevideZ pushes his legs off easily.
BenevideZ slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Dalton tries to get back to half guard but can't. BenevideZ lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. BenevideZ controls the position. Dalton is looking for a sweep. BenevideZ lands a nice forearm strike. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. BenevideZ staying calm. Dalton is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. BenevideZ tries to stand but Dalton is controlling his head. BenevideZ controls the position from side control. BenevideZ's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Let's hope that BenevideZ has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Bogart BenevideZ was stalling too much, according to the referee. BenevideZ keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dalton tries to clinch but fails miserably and BenevideZ makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. BenevideZ looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Dalton! BenevideZ looks winded! BenevideZ just content to control the position. It looks like BenevideZ might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. BenevideZ working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dalton is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on BenevideZ's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. BenevideZ trying to mount his opponent but Dalton defends it. BenevideZ trying to control the pace. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Bogart BenevideZ was stalling too much, according to the referee. Dalton goes for a double leg but BenevideZ avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as BenevideZ continues to drive forward. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The referee calls for BenevideZ to work.
BenevideZ tries to land knees in the clinch but Dalton avoids the damage to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bogart BenevideZ dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

BenevideZ looking to score a takedown here. Dalton is defending well but BenevideZ drives through and ends up in Dalton's guard. Dalton looking for a sweep. Not yet Dalton, not yet. Dalton is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and BenevideZ defends well. BenevideZ is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Dalton not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Dalton has momentary wrist control but BenevideZ slips an elbow through the middle. BenevideZ is breathing heavily. BenevideZ is stalling in the full guard. BenevideZ won't allow Dalton to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. BenevideZ controlling from the top position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Bogart BenevideZ was stalling too much, according to the referee. No luck for Dalton with that takedown attempt. BenevideZ closes the distance and clinches. BenevideZ cracks Dalton with a nice body shot. Dalton is fighting off a takedown attempt but BenevideZ is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Dalton to the mat. Dalton regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Dalton controls BenevideZ momentarily but BenevideZ frees himself. BenevideZ preventing the sweep. BenevideZ's corner is telling him to maintain position. Dalton looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. BenevideZ cracks Dalton with a solid left hand. BenevideZ controls the pace of the fight for a moment. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Dalton working for submissions but it's allowed BenevideZ to get to half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. BenevideZ is figuring out what he wants to do next. BenevideZ is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dalton is just riding it out for now. BenevideZ eventually gives up the hold. BenevideZ trying to control the pace. BenevideZ blocks the strikes from Dalton.
That's three minutes gone in the round. BenevideZ working Dalton over with strikes. BenevideZ is taking a breather. Dalton says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. BenevideZ is nestled in close to Dalton, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. BenevideZ content to control rather than advance. BenevideZ is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ground and pound from BenevideZ. BenevideZ is taking a breather. Dalton says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Bogart BenevideZ. BenevideZ misses with a series of wild punches.
BenevideZ circles away from the clinch attempt and BenevideZ counters into the clinch. Nicely done. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dalton tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. BenevideZ just stands there and leans against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bogart BenevideZ showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
BenevideZ shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Dalton gets full guard. Dalton trying to control the position.
Dalton has his foot on BenevideZ's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. BenevideZ works his way back into a safe position though. BenevideZ avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
BenevideZ postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Dalton is looking for a triangle but BenevideZ pushes his legs off easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Dalton is being controlled here. BenevideZ working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. BenevideZ lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. BenevideZ has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. BenevideZ cracks Dalton with an elbow. That is naaassty. Dalton gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. BenevideZ performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! BenevideZ is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Dalton tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. BenevideZ not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. BenevideZ postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. BenevideZ looking to pass the guard. BenevideZ works over Dalton with some ground and pound from guard. BenevideZ stays in close to Dalton's body and controls the position. BenevideZ with a nice head shot there. BenevideZ is stalling in the full guard. Dalton is trying to keep BenevideZ in close.

BenevideZ holds on, trying desperately to control. BenevideZ tries to get back to half guard but can't. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dalton working away from the top, dropping strikes. Dalton unloads with some shots from mount but BenevideZ bucks and avoids them well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dalton prevents BenevideZ from getting the reversal. Stan Dalton has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bogart BenevideZ is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Poor strikes thrown by Dalton there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
And that's the end of the fight! Bogart BenevideZ comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well BenevideZ has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
