Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nathanial Vang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niko Laaksonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Niko Laaksonen!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vang drops his hands momentarily and Laaksonen takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Laaksonen has closed the distance and engaged Vang in a clinch.
Laaksonen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Laaksonen rushes Vang and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Laaksonen manages to pull guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Vang throws a strike but Laaksonen rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Vang could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Laaksonen lands a couple of digs.
Laaksonen postures up in Vang's guard and throws a big left but Vang blocks it.
Laaksonen would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Laaksonen decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Vang, up you get!

Laaksonen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Vang, pushing him back against the cage.
Vang fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Vang is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Vang ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Vang no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Vang controls Laaksonen momentarily but Laaksonen frees himself.
Vang might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Laaksonen trying to control the position from guard on top but Vang is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Vang lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Laaksonen wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Laaksonen is looking to stand up but Vang isn't so interested in that idea.

Laaksonen is trying to control the position but Vang postures up.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Niko Laaksonen.
Laaksonen is trying hard to land a takedown here. Vang sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Laaksonen lands with a nice combination. Vang backs away looking to recover.

and Vang counters with a nice double leg into side control. Laaksonen won't be happy with that.

Vang is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Laaksonen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Vang is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Laaksonen has escaped the position, nice work there.
Laaksonen wants to control but Vang postures up.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Laaksonen tries to improve position but can't.
Vang misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Niko Laaksonen dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Laaksonen gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Laaksonen - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Vang jumps guard but Laaksonen turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Still in the clinch, Laaksonen scores with a nice short uppercut.
Vang is trying to maintain a safe position but Laaksonen gets an underhook and turns Vang into the cage.
Vang tries to pull guard but Laaksonen won't allow it.
Vang looking to stall.
Laaksonen jumps guard.
Vang won't allow Laaksonen to sweep him here.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Laaksonen holds on and takes a little breather.
Laaksonen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Laaksonen is trying to control the position from the bottom.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Niko Laaksonen hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Vang defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Laaksonen.

Laaksonen darts in and clinches Vang up against the cage.
Laaksonen is trying to drag Vang to the mat but Vang just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Vang manages to pull guard.
Vang is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Vang manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Laaksonen manages to get himself to full guard.
Laaksonen working for a triangle but Vang defends it easily.
Niko Laaksonen has got the better of the ground game so far.
Laaksonen is breathing heavily.

Vang landing with the ground and pound.
Vang working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Vang throws a strike but Laaksonen rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Vang is looking to stand up but Laaksonen isn't so interested in that idea.

A close second round but Niko Laaksonen will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Laaksonen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vang's waist but Vang gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Laaksonen off to one side.
Vang blocks a head kick by Laaksonen.
Laaksonen shoots and misses
so Vang counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Laaksonen pulls Vang in to control the position.
Laaksonen has momentary wrist control but Vang slips an elbow through the middle.
Laaksonen is wriggling around but Vang manages to pass to half guard.
Laaksonen takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Vang is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Laaksonen is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
