Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sheldon Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rod Stiffington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stiffington has chosen I'm Too Sexy by Right Said Fred as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rod Stiffington! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cooper looks for a takedown but Stiffington sprawls well. We've been hearing reports that Cooper has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Stiffington bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Cooper scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Cooper goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Stiffington has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Cooper but great work by Stiffington. Stiffington trying to control the action but Cooper is working from the bottom. Cooper is trying to improve his position. Stiffington controlling the position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stiffington is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Stiffington trying to control from half guard but Cooper is working away. Stiffington is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cooper defends it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stiffington stalling away here and it's allowed Cooper to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Cooper is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Cooper has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stiffington can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Cooper being controlled here, momentarily. Stiffington wants to pass the guard but Cooper is keeping the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stiffington ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cooper moves away. Stiffington throws a right and a left that both miss. Stiffington gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Rod Stiffington has got the better of the ground game so far. Cooper passes Stiffington's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Cooper tries to pass to full mount but Stiffington defends it. Cooper seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stiffington does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Stiffington scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Cooper manages to mount him!

Stiffington tries to get back to half guard but can't. Cooper wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. Cooper looking to secure an arm triangle but Stiffington defends it well. Stiffington sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stiffington really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Cooper is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Stiffington is surviving well by controlling Cooper's body position as best he can. Cooper works his way to his opponent's back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cooper working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Stiffington is doing well to defend. Cooper seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Stiffington is forced to tap and this one is over!
