Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Stank McCrank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Colt Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steel comes into a darkened arena with his song building. 'The Sparrow Looks Up At The Machine' by The Flaming Lips kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Stank McCrank has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stank McCrank! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Colt Steel! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McCrank fails with a takedown attempt. McCrank misses with a takedown attempt and Steel counters by clinching up. Steel is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Steel prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stank McCrank. That's going to take a lot out of him. Steel breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Steel rushes McCrank and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Steel tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Steel jumps into guard, dragging McCrank to the mat.
McCrank is pushing down on Steel's leg trying to pass to half guard. Steel is fighting to maintain full guard but McCrank has managed to sneak the leg through. Steel has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. McCrank could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. McCrank is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Steel wants to improve his position but McCrank is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. McCrank is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
McCrank is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Steel defends it well. Steel is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McCrank is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Steel wants to improve his position but McCrank is controlling well.
McCrank wants to work for an arm triangle but Steel is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. McCrank drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Steel manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now McCrank has Steel in his guard. Steel lands a couple of elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steel avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
McCrank has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Steel is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for McCrank. McCrank is breathing heavily. Steel is chipping away with strikes.
Steel has hold of McCrank's arm. He's looking for a kimura. McCrank seems comfortable defending it but Steel has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! McCrank is real pain and he's forced to tap out! McCrank is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Steel couldn't care less - he's delighted!
