Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Trainer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Don Stewart has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Don Stewart! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, George Trainer! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trainer dives in and scores a takedown into Stewart's guard. Trainer trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Stewart manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Trainer is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Trainer working for a triangle but Stewart defends it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Stewart with a flurry of punches that miss. Stewart really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Stewart drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Trainer manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Stewart has Trainer in his guard. Trainer postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Stewart is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Trainer, into his guard. Stewart stands up from Trainer's guard - Stewart perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trainer throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Stewart was covering up waiting for the punch and Trainer finishes the takedown easily into guard. Stewart is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Stewart has control of Trainer's left arm, preventing Trainer from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stewart lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Trainer is controlling Stewart's posture. Stewart throws an elbow that misses. Trainer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Stewart's guard. Nice move by Trainer! Stewart working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Trainer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Trainer postures up.
Trainer wants to get up but he can't break Stewart's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Stewart preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Trainer trying to control but Stewart is working from the bottom. Trainer throwing strikes from guard but Stewart blocks nicely. Stewart wants to control the position but Trainer says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Stewart tries to get to full guard but Trainer has control of the leg. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Trainer dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Trainer waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Stewart. Trainer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Stewart to the mat! Stewart manages to get full guard. Stewart preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Trainer wanted to stand there but Stewart had control of the position. Trainer with a flurry of punches that miss. Trainer is looking to advance position but Stewart has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Stewart swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Trainer is now in Stewart's guard. A big mistake from Stewart there, giving up the dominant position!
That's one minute gone in the round. Trainer loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Stewart holds on and takes a little breather. Stewart will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Trainer has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Stewart is proving hard to escape from.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stewart can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Trainer controls the pace.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Stewart gets tackled into the cage by Trainer. Trainer maintains the clinch. Trainer breaks the clinch.
Trainer throws a head kick but Stewart moves out of range.
Trainer is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Trainer gets a takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trainer wants to stand up but Stewart is controlling the position.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Stewart trying to hold on to Trainer's head to control him but Trainer postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Trainer seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Trainer shoots in and gets a takedown into Stewart's guard. Stewart trying to keep a closed guard but Trainer is proving a slippery customer.
Stewart keeping moving, preventing Trainer from controlling successfully. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Trainer loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Trainer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Stewart throws a sloppy head kick and Trainer moves out of range easily. Trainer closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Stewart's guard. Stewart is trying to keep Trainer in close.
Trainer trying to control but Stewart is working from the bottom. Stewart controlling Trainer's posture. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Trainer wants to stand but Stewart is controlling his posture from full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by George Trainer. Stewart tries to sprawl but Trainer drives through with a takedown into half guard. Stewart wants to sweep but Trainer has passed to side control! Trainer wants to control but Stewart is keeping him busy. Trainer tries to stand but Stewart is controlling his head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stewart can't do much from the bottom here. George Trainer has got the better of the ground game so far. A bit of a lull in the action here. Stewart has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Stewart can't do much from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Don Stewart just wasn't active enough. Trainer wants to clinch. Trainer throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Stewart tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Trainer is in Stewart's guard. Trainer trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Trainer trying to move into half guard but instead Stewart has managed to sweep!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Trainer looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Stewart passes into half guard.
Trainer flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Trainer pushes Stewart off but Stewart dives into side control.
Stewart is trying to get an arm triangle but Trainer is defending well. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Trainer manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! George Trainer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Trainer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
