Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johan Apanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Pikachoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Apanson comes to the cage accompanied by Fuck You. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johan Apanson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Pikachoo! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pikachoo swings for the body but Apanson moves out of range.

Apanson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pikachoo shoots in and drives through. Apanson sprawls well. Pikachoo throws a right hand that Apanson ducks under and follows up with a left that Apanson also avoids with ease. Pikachoo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Apanson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Pikachoo shoots for a double leg takedown but Apanson sprawls well. He's pushed Pikachoo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Johan Apanson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Apanson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Apanson tries to keep at a distance but Pikachoo has taken the fight into the clinch. Pikachoo fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Apanson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Apanson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Apanson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pikachoo circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pikachoo misses with a takedown attempt and Apanson counters with a good low kick that Pikachoo was not able to check. Pikachoo's coach down at Den of Tears (22 coaches, $350 fee) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Pikachoo's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Pikachoo gets caught flat footed, as Apanson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Pikachoo wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Apanson is stalling in the full guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Apanson advances position into side control! Apanson is looking to take a break and control but Pikachoo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pikachoo struggling a bit here. We've been hearing good reports from Apanson's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Pikachoo wants to control from the top but Apanson keeps moving. Pikachoo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Pikachoo tries to stand but Apanson is controlling from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Apanson scrambles and gets back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action! Pikachoo scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Johan Apanson will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Apanson is not content to let Pikachoo control the position. Pikachoo winds up and cracks Apanson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Pikachoo is stalling here. Apanson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Pikachoo seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Apanson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Pikachoo is looking for a sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Apanson is staying tight to Pikachoo's torso, preventing him from escaping. Pikachoo can't do much from the bottom here.

Apanson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pikachoo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Apanson decides to stand back up. Apanson steps back and let's Pikachoo get back to his feet. Pikachoo swings for the body but Apanson moves out of range.

Johan Apanson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Apanson won't allow Pikachoo to sweep him here. Apanson stands up from Pikachoo's guard - Apanson perhaps looking for a knockout. Apanson moves into the clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Apanson managing to block the knees to the body from Pikachoo.
Apanson tightens his grip and picks Pikachoo up, before dumping him to the ground. Pikachoo manages to land in guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Johan Apanson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Apanson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
