Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Donte Lott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Weidman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson Weidman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Donte Lott! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Anderson Weidman! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Lott's corner calls for a 1-2. Lott obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Lott misses with a head kick.
Lott feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Weidman trying to control the position.
Weidman throws his legs up looking for a submission but Lott uses it to pass to side control.
Weidman tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lott wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. You can see the frustration on Weidman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lott tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Weidman looks to move to half guard but instead Lott has passed into mount! Damn! Weidman bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Weidman engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Weidman postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Lott keeping moving, preventing Weidman from controlling successfully. Lott looking to hit a scissor sweep but Weidman is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Weidman wants to control from the top but Lott keeps moving. Weidman trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Weidman is pushing down on Lott's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lott is fighting to maintain full guard but Weidman has managed to sneak the leg through. Weidman seems to be working for a kimura but Lott defends the submission attempt. Lott wants to improve his position but Weidman is controlling well.
Lott is concentrating on defense, preventing Weidman from advancing position. Weidman is looking to advance position but Lott won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Weidman is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Lott pulls Weidman in to control the position. Weidman engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Weidman wants to control from the top but Lott keeps moving. Weidman pushing down on Lott's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Weidman is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lott defends it well. Weidman throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Weidman is looking to advance position but Lott won't allow it. Weidman controlling the pace. Weidman wants to take a breather but Lott is having none of it. Weidman uses his free foot to push down on Lott's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lott. Weidman trying to control but Lott is having none of it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Weidman is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Lott has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Lott! Lott knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Weidman on the ground. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Weidman is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anderson Weidman dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Lott throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Lott misses with a head kick.
Anderson Weidman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lott throws a head kick that misses. Lott misses with a body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lott feints and as Weidman raises his hands in defense, Lott changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Lott will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Weidman is trying to keep Lott in close.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Weidman is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Lott has his hands clasped together but Weidman extends and breaks Lott's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Weidman.
