Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ron Candy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Haines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniel Haines told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ron Candy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Haines!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haines shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Haines stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Haines wants it to stay on the feet.

Haines scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Haines wants to lay and pray for a moment but Candy keeps working.
Haines cracks Candy with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Candy is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Haines is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Candy is breathing heavily.
Candy is in a horrible position here. Haines smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Candy is looking to get to half guard.
Candy taking shots to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Haines content just to control the position here.
Haines cracks Candy with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Haines with a couple of short strikes.
Haines postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Candy looks a forlorn figure.
Haines pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.


Candy is rocked!
A big strike lands for Haines! That's really hurt Candy and he's turned his back - Haines keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Haines jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Daniel Haines!
Daniel Haines tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
