Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Modesto Carpenter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dameus Parks! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parks closes the distance and clinches. Parks crunches a lovely knee into Carpenter's ribcage. Parks tries to pull guard but Carpenter forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Parks manages to pull guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Parks is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Carpenter defends well. Carpenter with a flurry of punches that miss. Carpenter wants to stand but Parks has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Carpenter working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Carpenter gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Carpenter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Parks throws a head kick but Carpenter moves out of range.
Parks looks winded!
Parks moves into the clinch. Carpenter working hard to break the clinch. Parks fails to pull guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Carpenter wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Parks has him pressed against the cage. Carpenter working hard to break the clinch.
Parks pulls guard. Carpenter has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Parks is proving hard to escape from. Carpenter throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Carpenter being controlled here momentarily. Carpenter is looking to work some ground and pound but Parks has wrist control.
Carpenter stands up from Parks's guard - Carpenter perhaps looking for a knockout.
Carpenter scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Carpenter is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Parks has managed to free his arm - good work. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Parks can do anything to dispel that myth.
Carpenter is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Parks defends it well. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Carpenter is trying for a kimura here. Parks looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Carpenter wins by kimura!
