Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yngve Ingvar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

28 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yngve Ingvar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rick James! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Sloppy strikes from James. Those never looked like landing. James displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ingvar throws out the jab. James scores with a jab to the head.
James misses with a straight left. Some wild striking there from James.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ingvar. James does a little dance to reset his feet. James with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
James throws a lazy right hand but Ingvar sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. James scores with a kick to the body.
Ingvar throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Crunch! Ingvar slams his shin into James's torso. Ingvar looks for the body kick but James saw that one coming. Ingvar misses with a straight left. This has been an exciting period of action! James drives through and clinches with Ingvar against the cage.

An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight. Ingvar throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Rick James dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ingvar uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by James.
Ingvar throws the left hand but James avoids the punch easily. James throws a right and a left that Ingvar avoids nicely. James throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
James connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Ingvar has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. James looks to land a body kick but Ingvar moved away. The crowd cheers as Ingvar lands an impressive looking overhand right. James doesn't seem phased though. Ingvar swats away the attempt to clinch by James. James looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. James moves out of range as Ingvar strikes. A chopping leg kick lands by James. James bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. James keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ingvar.

and Ingvar connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. James throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ingvar. Nice body kick there by Ingvar. Ingvar avoids a punch combination nicely.
James lands a head kick. Ingvar smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Ingvar swats away the attempt to clinch by James. Ingvar throws an overhand right that lands on James's shoulder, as James tries to avoid the shot. Ingvar looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. A lazy left from James finds it's target. Ingvar ducks under a wild hook from James. Rick James is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. James swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. James has been the more effective fighter overall so far. James throws a leg kick and Ingvar counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. James is lucky that one didn't land flush. A good leg kick by James.

The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Ingvar lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. A head kick from James lands but Ingvar takes it in his stride. That was a close second round but I would say that Yngve Ingvar will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

James looks to land a combination but Ingvar avoids it well. Ingvar's corner calls for a 1-2. Ingvar obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. James throws a sloppy head kick and Ingvar moves out of range easily. James throws a quick inside leg kick. James walks into a stiff left hand from Ingvar. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but Yngve Ingvar did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Ingvar thuds his right hand into James's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. James lands with an uppercut that bounces Ingvar off the cage and back into range. The fight stays on the outside here - James looks like he's thinking about clinching though. James misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
James misses with a hook. James does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

James steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ingvar. James throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Ingvar on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by James. James obviously looking to wear him down.
James comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Ingvar gets cracked there but stands up to it.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Rick James. I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Rick James! After the fight, Rick James was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
