Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Je Tunaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armas Lumpio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Armas Lumpio told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Je Tunaki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Armas Lumpio! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lumpio circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tunaki gets in close and instigates a clinch. Tunaki wants to get back to striking at distance but Lumpio won't allow it.

Lumpio unloads a knee to the mid-section. Lumpio tries to land a knee to the head but Tunaki blocks with his arms.
Tunaki tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Lumpio told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight. Lumpio throws a punch but it's blocked by Tunaki. Lumpio throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Tunaki blocks it with crossed arms. Lumpio misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Tunaki.
Tunaki tries a knee to the head but Lumpio blocks it.
Tunaki breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tunaki walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Tunaki takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
A combination from Lumpio does no damage. Tunaki tries to clinch but Lumpio moves out of range. Tunaki wants to clinch up but Lumpio keeps it at a distance. Tunaki fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lumpio, pushing him back against the ropes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lumpio scores with an uppercut up the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round. A shot in the inside from Lumpio. Lumpio's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Lumpio uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tunaki. Tunaki moves away from the strike by Lumpio. Tunaki is looking to take this fight into the clinch. We've been hearing reports that Tunaki has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Lumpio gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Lumpio with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Lumpio makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Lumpio connects with a nasty looking knee right to Tunaki's face.
It looks like Je Tunaki has been cut. Tunaki softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes. Tunaki is trying to break free. With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Lumpio creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Tunaki tries a body shot but Lumpio blocks it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Tunaki wants to stall.
Lumpio tries to land a knee to the head but Tunaki blocks with his arms.
Tunaki is trying to maintain a safe position but Lumpio gets an underhook and turns Tunaki into the ropes. Lumpio has his opponent in a tight Thai clinch and unloads with a massive knee that drops Tunaki to the canvas! Can Tunaki beat the count? 3,4,5,6 and he's up... is he? Yes, he's up! The referee is taking a long look at him and he's waved off the fight! He didn't think Tunaki was in a fit state to continue so this fight is over! Lumpio is your winner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Armas Lumpio! In defeat, Je Tunaki stepped up to the mic, saying 'i do not believe he was the better fighter and i would love to have a rematch as soon as possible'.
