Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ken Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Omari Akhmedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ken Masters !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Omari Akhmedov!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Ackerman and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masters dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Akhmedov. That did some damage!
Masters misses with a left hand
and Masters takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Masters turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Masters pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Masters . Akhmedov shrugs it off though.
Akhmedov uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Masters .
We've been told by Masters 's head coaches at My Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Masters missing with a left hand there. Akhmedov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Masters throws out a leg kick but Akhmedov moves out of range and Masters only half commits.

Ken Masters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Masters scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Akhmedov doesn't seem bothered though.

Akhmedov takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Akhmedov ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Masters throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Masters throws a leg kick but Akhmedov checks it.
Masters chopping away at his opponent's legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ken Masters dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Sloppy strikes from Masters . Those never looked like landing.
The fighters circling - Masters throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Masters lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Akhmedov has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Akhmedov and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Masters throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Akhmedov checks a leg kick.

Masters throws a front kick aimed at Akhmedov's knee but Akhmedov avoids it well.

Masters scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

and Akhmedov counters with a two punch combo.

Masters cracks Akhmedov with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Ken Masters is winning the standup battle so far.
Akhmedov on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Masters throws a poor cross that misses
and Akhmedov counters with a nice uppercut.
Masters throws a body kick that misses.
Masters is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Akhmedov can do to turn this around?

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ken Masters dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Masters throws a body shot but no joy.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Akhmedov might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Masters has got the better of the exchanges.

letting Akhmedov counter with a right hand.

Masters feints a jab promting Akhmedov to slip. Masters then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Akhmedov slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Masters throws a shot to the body.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Akhmedov crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Masters - the referee stops the clock and Akhmedov gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Masters . Akhmedov manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Masters throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Masters lands with a right hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Masters fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Akhmedov manages to avoid it.
Masters lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Masters wants to land a leg kick but Akhmedov is out of range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Masters darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Masters shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Masters throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Akhmedov ducks under a wild hook from Masters .
Akhmedov checks a low kick from Masters .
Masters lands a glancing blow to the side of Akhmedov's head.
Omari Akhmedov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Masters throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A head kick misses from Masters .
A big right from Masters misses.
Masters fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Akhmedov.
Ken Masters is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Akhmedov on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Well Masters has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
