Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Rob Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lloyd Christmas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lloyd Christmas!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christmas takes a jab right on the kisser.
Christmas rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Banks counter with a right hand.
Banks dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Christmas. That did some damage!
Banks steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Christmas.
Banks pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Banks punishes Christmas's body with a nice straight punch.
Lloyd Christmas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Christmas throws a poor cross that misses
and Banks counters with a flying knee. Nice.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Christmas throws a hook but Banks blocks it.
Banks displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Christmas throws out the jab.
Banks lands with a hook. Christmas tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

and Banks counters with a stiff right hand.

Banks moves into range and connects with a jab.
Christmas lands with a straight right. Banks didn't see that one coming.
It looks like Rob Banks has been cut.
Christmas looks to land a combination but Banks avoids it well.
Christmas throws a body punch but Banks moves out of range.
Banks throws a nice inside leg kick.

Christmas misses with a lunging right hand
and Banks counters with a straight right hand.

and Banks counters with a big head kick out of nowhere, perfectly timed, sending Christmas crashing to the mat! Christmas is trying to stumble back to his feet... will he beat the count? We're at 5,6,7,8,9,10! He's out! Banks takes this one thanks to a picture pefect counter strike.
