Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reyes Olsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Humphreys (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michael Humphreys will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Reyes Olsen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Humphreys!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Humphreys clinches up with Olsen and pushes him back against the cage.
Humphreys presses Olsen against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Olsen really is a fat lump.
Humphreys makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Humphreys looking to slow down the pace here.

Humphreys pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A clash of legs there as Humphreys blocks the low kick.

Humphreys has closed the distance and engaged Olsen in a clinch.
Olsen misses with a short punch on the inside.
Olsen goes for a takedown in the clinch but Humphreys prevents it.
Olsen swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Humphreys blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Olsen misses with a knee strike.
Olsen tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Humphreys avoids it.

Humphreys softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
A right handed body shot lands from Humphreys.

Humphreys is stalling here.
Olsen has Humphreys pressed against the cage, preventing Humphreys from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Humphreys has Olsen pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Olsen manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Olsen gets control of Humphreys's arms and successfully pulls guard. Olsen will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Humphreys stays in close to Olsen's body and controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Olsen holds on and takes a little breather.

Olsen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Humphreys has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Olsen has managed to get both his arms back between Humphreys's legs - danger averted.
Olsen wanted to stand there but Humphreys had control of the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Olsen gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Olsen is trying to control the action in half guard but Humphreys is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Humphreys is looking to control Olsen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Humphreys avoid being mounted?

Olsen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Humphreys is just riding it out for now. Olsen eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Humphreys is trying to control but can't.
Humphreys is refusing to be controlled, as Olsen sits in half guard.
Olsen wants to get back to his feet.
Humphreys is not content to let Olsen control the position.

Olsen is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Humphreys misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Olsen wants to stand up but Humphreys has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Humphreys is looking for a sweep. Olsen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Olsen tries to stand and escape but Humphreys is controlling the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Humphreys tries to roll over but Olsen keeps him under control.
Olsen wants to stand up but Humphreys has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Olsen is controlling the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reyes Olsen dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Olsen slaps away a takedown attempt from Humphreys, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Michael Humphreys seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Humphreys tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Olsen finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Olsen throws an overhand right that lands on Humphreys's shoulder, as Humphreys tries to avoid the shot.
Olsen throws a push kick but Humphreys slaps the foot to one side.
A decent looking cross lands there for Humphreys.
Olsen throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Olsen misses with a wild combination.
Reyes Olsen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Olsen tries to clinch but Humphreys moves out of range.

Olsen throws a series of punches but Humphreys avoids them all with ease.
Humphreys dives in for a single leg takedown but Olsen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Olsen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Olsen leaves Humphreys with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Reyes Olsen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Humphreys.
Humphreys shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Olsen defends it nicely.
Humphreys dives in and grabs Olsen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Olsen pushes down on Humphreys's head and hops out.
Humphreys is breathing heavily.
Olsen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Humphreys manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

A head punch on the inside from Olsen fails to land.

Olsen lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Humphreys.

Olsen gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Humphreys regains guard.

Olsen wants to control from the top but Humphreys keeps moving.

Humphreys shoots in and drives through. Olsen sprawls well.

Crunch! Olsen slams his shin into Humphreys's torso.

and Olsen counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Olsen.

Olsen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Olsen takes the fight into the clinch.

Olsen turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Humphreys tries to buck Olsen off but Olsen is having none of it.
Humphreys looks to move to half guard but instead Olsen has passed into mount! Damn!

Olsen stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Olsen tries a head kick but it misses.
Olsen looks to land a body kick but Humphreys moved away.

Olsen misses with an attempted mid kick.
Olsen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Humphreys misses with a takedown attempt
and Olsen counters with a body kick that stops Humphreys in his tracks momentarily.
Olsen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Humphreys fails in his attempt to clinch.
Humphreys circles away from the clinch attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Olsen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Olsen tries to close the distance and clinch but Humphreys swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Olsen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Horrible takedown attempt by Humphreys or perhaps it was just good defense by Olsen, which made it look bad.
Olsen moves in looking to clinch but Humphreys pushes him off.
Olsen throws a sloppy head kick and Humphreys moves out of range easily.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Olsen!
Humphreys shoots in for a double leg but Olsen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Humphreys shoots in for a takedown but Olsen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Humphreys takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Olsen takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Olsen lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Olsen has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Humphreys in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Reyes Olsen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Humphreys is squirming around, avoiding Olsen's attempts to control the action.

Olsen gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Humphreys is trying to control the position but Olsen postures up.

Olsen wants to stand but Humphreys has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Olsen is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Humphreys wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Olsen is now in half guard.
Olsen tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Olsen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Humphreys doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Olsen.

Michael Humphreys has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Reyes Olsen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Olsen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
