Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Drake Moore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Clayton Fydrich!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Moore drives through with a takedown into guard.
Moore could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Fydrich looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Moore content to stall in guard here.
Moore prevents Fydrich from getting back to his feet.
Moore working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Moore connects with a couple of short punches.
Moore looking to pass the guard.
Moore looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Drake Moore has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Moore darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Moore content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Moore's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Drake Moore has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Moore slaps away a takedown attempt from Fydrich, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Moore looks to land a combination but Fydrich avoids it well.

Moore closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Moore lands in his opponent's guard.
Fydrich looking to hit a scissor sweep but Moore is one step ahead there.

Moore has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Drake Moore has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Moore fails to land with a series of punches.
Clayton Fydrich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Moore throws a leg kick but Fydrich moved away.
Moore swings for the body but Fydrich moves out of range.

Moore scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Moore in side control, just content to control the action for now.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Drake Moore dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Fydrich darts in trying to clinch

and Moore counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fydrich won't be happy with that.
Fydrich trying to remain calm as Moore controls from the top position.
Moore cracks Fydrich with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Fydrich is breathing heavily.
Moore controls the position from side control.

Moore grinds an elbow into Fydrich's temple.
Fydrich seems a little lost for a moment, as Moore dominates the positioning.

Drake Moore has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Moore shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Fydrich eats them both and turns towards Moore to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Moore misses with a jab, cross combination.
Fydrich misses with a two punch combination.

Moore shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fydrich's guard.
Moore stands and throws Fydrich's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The referee asks Moore politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Moore prefers to stall for the moment though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Moore knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fydrich on the ground.
Moore lands a decent elbow from side control.

Fydrich is being controlled here.
Drake Moore overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Moore has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Drake Moore wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Moore closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Moore content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Moore thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Moore takes a little break here. Fydrich wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Drake Moore dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Moore connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Fydrich's hands.
Moore ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fydrich moves away.

Moore scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Moore controlling the pace.
Moore wants to pass to mount but Fydrich is defending the position.
Moore performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Fydrich is trying to control but can't.
Fydrich takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Fydrich on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Moore is taking a breather. Fydrich says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nice straight punches there by Moore. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Moore.
Fydrich's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Moore connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Fydrich scrambles back to his feet.

Moore bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Fydrich is being controlled here.
Check out the look on Moore's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
You can see the frustration on Fydrich's face as Moore controls the position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Drake Moore.

Moore gets a double leg takedown into Fydrich's guard.
Fydrich wants to sweep here but Moore controlling him for the moment.
Moore slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
