Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jerko Vandenbergh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Choel Six (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jerko Vandenbergh has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jerko Vandenbergh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Choel Six! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vandenbergh throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Vandenbergh moves out of range of the body kick. Vandenbergh throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Six. Six misses with a low kick.
Vandenbergh leaves Six with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Six stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Six wants it to stay on the feet. Vandenbergh shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Six as he jumps to the side. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Six is defended easily by Vandenbergh. Vandenbergh shoots for a double leg takedown but Six sprawls well. He's pushed Vandenbergh's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jerko Vandenbergh. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vandenbergh thows a body shot but no joy. Six changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vandenbergh tries to avoid it but Six manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vandenbergh to the ground. Vandenbergh escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vandenbergh tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Six swivels and escapes. Sloppy strikes from Vandenbergh. Those never looked like landing. Six dives in and grabs Vandenbergh's left leg, looking for a takedown. Vandenbergh pushes down on Six's head and hops out. Six closes the distance but Vandenbergh moves to the side and Vandenbergh counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Six has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vandenbergh is working away from the top position though. Six keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Six is looking to improve his position.
Six won't allow Vandenbergh to pass to mount. Six is trying to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Six moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Six is trying to control the position but Vandenbergh postures up. Vandenbergh could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Six bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Vandenbergh's guard. Six trying to control but Vandenbergh is working from the bottom. Six is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Vandenbergh is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Six stopping the sweep attempt from Vandenbergh.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Six wants to stand but Vandenbergh has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Vandenbergh looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Choel Six has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Six feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Vandenbergh's calf. Vandenbergh fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Vandenbergh shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Six as he jumps to the side. Vandenbergh is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Six goes for a double leg but Vandenbergh avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Vandenbergh continues to drive forward. Six is trying to break the clinch but Vandenbergh is controlling him. Six is trying to pull guard but Vandenbergh has him pressed against the cage. Vandenbergh pulls guard successfully.
Six got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vandenbergh has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Six has managed to get both his arms back between Vandenbergh's legs - danger averted. Vandenbergh is breathing heavily. Six missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Six is pushing down on Vandenbergh's leg trying to pass to half guard. Vandenbergh is fighting to maintain full guard but Six has managed to sneak the leg through. Vandenbergh is in trouble now - Six has advanced to mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Six is looking to stand but Six has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jerko Vandenbergh will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Vandenbergh displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Six. Six tries to keep at a distance but Vandenbergh has taken the fight into the clinch. Six tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Vandenbergh just stands there and leans against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Six's face as he tries to break the clinch. Six blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Vandenbergh breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Six looks to clinch and Vandenbergh counters by moving into the clinch. Vandenbergh pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Six tries for a takedown but Vandenbergh sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Jerko Vandenbergh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Choel Six. Nice takedown defense from Vandenbergh. No joy for Six on that attempt. The fight stays on the outside here - Six looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vandenbergh closes the distance and clinches. Vandenbergh decides to pull guard. Vandenbergh trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Vandenbergh wants to stand up but Six is controlling him. Six avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Six wants to pass the guard but Vandenbergh is keeping the position. Six wants to control from the top but Vandenbergh keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Six wanted to stand there but Vandenbergh had control of the position. Vandenbergh is controlling Six's posture. Vandenbergh is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Six trying to control but Vandenbergh is working from the bottom.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Choel Six hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Vandenbergh shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Six as he avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vandenbergh closes the distance and clinches. Six tries to land knees in the clinch but Vandenbergh avoids the damage to the body. Six is trying to pull guard but Vandenbergh has him pressed against the cage. Six jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Vandenbergh walks away with a smile on his face. Six gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Vandenbergh shoots in looking for a takedown. Six tries to sprawl out of it but Vandenbergh keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Six manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Vandenbergh displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Six. Six fails in his attempt to clinch. Six tries to clinch but Vandenbergh moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Six goes for a double leg but Vandenbergh avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Vandenbergh continues to drive forward. Vandenbergh jumps guard.
Six trying to control the position from guard on top but Vandenbergh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Six might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Vandenbergh haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Six passes Vandenbergh's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Vandenbergh is looking for a sweep. Six is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Vandenbergh knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Six on the ground. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Vandenbergh blocking the ground and pound attempt from Six. Six thows a huge punch but Vandenbergh dodges it nicely.
Six prevents Vandenbergh from standing back up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jerko Vandenbergh will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Vandenbergh ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Vandenbergh no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Six looking to pass the guard. Vandenbergh lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Six throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Choel Six has got the better of the ground game so far. Vandenbergh sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's one minute gone in the round. Six looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Vandenbergh is defending well. Six quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Vandenbergh has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Six celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
