Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
19 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Scott Carson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rami Kottari!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carson throws a right and a left that Kottari avoids nicely.
Carson takes one on the button.
Carson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kottari.
Carson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kottari's jab looks to have found its range, popping Carson under the eye.
A combination from Carson does no damage.
Kottari waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Carson. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Carson to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kottari throws a strike but Carson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Carson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kottari swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kottari controlling the position.
Carson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kottari seems keen to control Carson's posture.
Carson passes Kottari's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Carson is taking a breather. Kottari says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Carson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kottari knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Kottari tries to get to full guard but Carson has control of the leg.

Kottari wants to get back to full guard.

Kottari is holding on to half guard well.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Scott Carson.
Carson scores with a head kick.
It looks like Rami Kottari has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Carson looks to score with a jab to the body but Kottari is just out of range.
Carson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kottari manages to avoid it.
Kottari throws a jab when Carson was well out of range.
Kottari digs a good hook to Carson's body.
Kottari swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kottari ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Carson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Kottari lands a big shot that drops Carson! Can he finish him?
Carson is rocked!
Kottari arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Carson's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Rami Kottari!
