Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Pot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vic Vantrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pot comes to the cage accompanied by Showering of Money. Vic Vantrell struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.6lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Vic Vantrell has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jack Pot's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Pot.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Vantrell has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Vantrell dives in and scores a takedown into Pot's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pot had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Vantrell defends it easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pot isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Vantrell stacks Pot on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Vantrell!
Vantrell swings around for an armbar but Pot sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Vantrell's guard.
Pot throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Vantrell works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Vantrell wants to sweep but no luck.

Pot looking to sit in guard and control but Vantrell gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Vantrell must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Vantrell got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pot has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vantrell has managed to get both his arms back between Pot's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pot manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Pot gets a trip takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vantrell pushes Pot off but Pot dives into side control.
Vantrell looks winded!
A lull in the action here.
Pot working the body and head with strikes.

Pot is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Vantrell knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Vantrell tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Pot presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Pot lands a big shot there that rocks Vantrell but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Pot lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Vantrell hang on?
Vantrell is bucking up trying to escape but Pot cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Pot tries to control but Vantrell wriggling away.
Pot pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Pot postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Vantrell looks a forlorn figure.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pot landing shots from mount.
Vantrell is rocked!
Vantrell reaches up and pulls Pot towards him, trying to control the position. Pot manages to get a guillotine from the mount though! This could be big trouble for Vantrell! Vantrell tries to roll over - now Pot is on the bottom but the guillotine is really deep and Vantrell has to tap out! Great work there by Pot!
