The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Norwinson.
Hayes has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Hayes closes the distance and clinches.
Hayes lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Hayes lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Norwinson is trying to pull guard but Hayes has him pressed against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hayes creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Norwinson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hayes counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Bartholomew Norwinson has been cut.

Hayes uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Norwinson.
Hayes connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Norwinson momentarily.
Norwinson is rocked!

Oh Norwinson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hayes closes the distance and clinches.

Norwinson is breathing heavily.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hayes takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Norwinson seems to have got his legs back now.
Norwinson jumps guard but Hayes stands there with Norwinson around his waist. Norwinson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bartholomew Norwinson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hayes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hayes steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Norwinson is out on his feet! Hayes sets himself and nearly takes Norwinson's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
